सा.का.नि. 728 ( अ ) केन्द्रीय सरकार, खादी और ग्रामोद्योग आयोग अधिनियम, 1956( 1956 का 61 ) की धारा 26 की उप - धारा ( 1) और उप- धारा ( 2 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , खांदी और ग्रामोद्योग आयोग नियम , 2006 का संशोधन करने के लिए निम्नलिखित नियम बनाती है , अर्थात्:-
1. संक्षिप्त नाम और प्रारम्भ ( 1 ) इन नियमों का संक्षिप्त नाम खादी और ग्रामोद्योग आयोग ( संशोधन ) नियम , 2006 है ।
2. खादी और ग्रामोद्योग आयोग नियम , 2006 ( जिसे इसमें इसके पश्चात् उक्त नियम कहा गया है ) के नियम 3 में,-
(क ) मद संख्या ( ii ) में , " उत्तरी पूर्वोत्तर परिक्षेत्र " से संबंधित प्रविष्टि के स्थान पर, " अरुणाचल प्रदेश, असम , मणिपुर, मेघालय , मिजोरम , नागालैंड, सिक्किम और त्रिपुरा राज्य" प्रविष्टि रखी जाएगी ।
(ख) मद संख्या ( iv ) में, " पूर्वोत्तर परिक्षेत्र " से संबंधित प्रविष्टिके स्थान पर , " बिहार , उड़ीसा, पश्चिमी बंगाल , झारखंड राज्य और अंडमान और निकोबार संघ राज्यक्षेत्र " प्रविष्टि रखी जाएगी ।
3. हिन्दी पाठ में संशोधन की आवश्यकता नहीं है ।
4. उक्त निमय के नियम 39 में, " नियम 32 और 33 " शब्द और अंकों के स्थान पर , " नियम 37 और नियम 38 " शब्द और अंक रखे जाएंगे ।

New Delhi, the 29th November, 2006
G.S.R. 728 (E ) .-In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub- sections ( 1) and (2) of Section 26 of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission Act, 1956 (61 of 1956) , the Central Government hereby makes the following rules to amend the Khadi and Village Industries Commission Rules , 2006, namely :--
1. Short title and commencement. ( 1) These rules maybe called the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (Amendment) Rules, 2006 .
2. In the Khadi and Village Industries Commission Rules, 2006 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules) , in rules 3 ,-
(a) in item number (ii) , for the entries relatingto "North -Eastern Zone" , the entries " States of Arunachal Pradesh , Assam , Manipur , Meghalaya ,Mizoram, Nagaland , Sikkimand Tripura" , shall be substituted .
(b) in item number ( iv), for the entries relating to "Eastern Zone " , the entries " States of Bihar , Orissa, West Bengal , Jharkhand and Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands " shall be substituted .
3. In the said rules , in rule 22 , in sub - rules 3 , for the word " thing" the word "thinks " shall be substituted.
4. In the said rules, in rule 39 , for the words and figures" rules 32 and 33 " , the words and figures "rules 37 and 38" , shall be substituted.
