सं. 31/2006-सेवा कर
सा.का.नि. 742(अ) वित्त अधिनियम, 1994 ( 1994 का 32 ) की धारा 93 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , केन्द्रीय सरकार, इस बात का समाधान हो जाने पर कि ऐसा करना लोक हित में आवश्यक है , किसी बीमाकर्ता द्वारा साधारण बीमा कारोबार के संबंध में प्रदान की गई करादेय सेवा , जो किसी बीमाधारक को भेड़ का बीमा कराने के लिए प्रदान की गई है , उक्त वित्त अधिनियम की धारा 66 के अधीन उस पर उद्ग्रहणीय संपूर्ण सेवा कर से छूट देती है ।
2. इस अधिसूचना के अधीन यह छूट 31 दिसम्बर , 2009 तक प्रभावीहोगी ।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 11th December, 2006
No. 31/2006- Service Tax
G.S.R. 742(E) . In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 93 of the Finance Act, 1994 (32 of 1994 ) , the Central Government , on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do , hereby exempts the taxable service provided by an insurser, carrying on general insurance business , to a policy holder for the insurance of sheep , from the whole of service tax leviable thereon under Section 66 of the said Act .
2. The exemption contained in this notification shall be valid upto 31st December, 2009.
