सा.का.नि. 767(अ). सं. सा.का.नि. 786 ( अ ) के रूप में दिनांक 3 दिसम्बर , 2004 के असाधारण राजपत्र में प्रकाशित , अंडमान और निकोबार द्वीप समूह ( सामान उतारे जाने के घाटों, जहाज- घाटों, घाटों मालगोदामों , शेडों और अन्य विविध सेवाओं के प्रयोग की दरों का निर्धारण) संशोधन नियम , 2004 , अंडमान और निकोबार प्रशासन/ पत्तन प्रबंधन बोर्ड द्वारा भारी भूकंप/ सुनामी के प्रभावों के कारण कार्यान्वित नहीं किए जा सके । उपर्युक्त नियमों को कार्यान्वित किए जाने की तारीख, दिनांक 13 जून की अधिसूचना सं. सा.का.नि. 363 (अ ) द्वारा संशोधित कर दी गई ।
चूँकि अंडमान और निकोबार द्वीप समूह में पुर्नवास से संबंधित कार्य अभी भी चल रहा है तथा अंडमान चैम्बर ऑफ कॉमर्स एण्ड इंडस्ट्री ने प्रभार इतने अधिक बढ़ा दिए जाने के विरुद्ध अभिवेदन प्रस्तुत कियाहै, केन्द्रीय सरकार, दिनांक 3 दिसम्बर , 2004 की अधिसूचना को कार्यन्वित किए जाने की तारीख को, बदली हुई तारीख फिर से अधिसूचित किए जाने तक, एतद्वारा , आस्थगित रखे जाने के प्रति सहमत है ।.

New Delhi, the 22nd December , 2006
G.S.R. 767 (E) .- The Andaman & Nicobar Islands (Fixation of Rates for the Use of Landing Places, Wharves , Quays , Warehouses , Sheds and other Miscellaneous Services ) Amendment Rules , 2004 Published in the Extraordinary Gazette dated the 3rd December , 2004 vide G.S.R No. 786 (E) could not be implemented by Andaman & Nicobar Administration/Port Management Board (PMB) due to the massive Earthquake/ Tsunami effects . The date of implementation of said Rules was revised vide notification G.S.R. 363 (E ) dated 13th June , 2006 .
Since, the rehabilitation work is still underway in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and the Andaman Chamber of Commerce and Industry has represented against the steep hike of the charges , the Central Government hereby agreed to keep in abeyance the date of implementation of the notification dated the 3rd December , 2004 till the revised date is notified again .
