सा.का.नि. 43( अ ). केन्द्रीय सरकार , सिक्का निर्माण अधिनियम , 1906 ( 1906 का 3 ) की धारा 7 के साथ पठित धारा 21 की उप - धारा ( 1 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए निम्नलिखित नियम बनाती है , अर्थात्: -
1. संक्षिप्त नाम और प्रारंभ. ( 1 ) इन नियमों का सक्षिप्त नाम " विविधता में एकता " के अवसर स्मरणोत्सव मनाने के लिए पांच रुपए के सिक्के का निर्माण नियम, 2006 है ।
(2) ये राजपत्र में प्रकाशन की तारीख को प्रवृत्त होंगे ।
2. परिभाषा.-इन नियमों में " अधिनियम " से सिक्का निर्माण अधिनियम , 1906 ( 1906 का 3 ) अभिप्रेत है ।
3. " विविधता में एकता " के अवसर पर स्मरणोत्सव मनाने के लिए निर्मित किए गए कतिपय अंकित मूल्य के सिक्कों का मानक वजन और उन पर अनुज्ञात उपचार :-
" विविधता में एकता " के अवसर पर स्मरणोत्सव मनाने के लिए अधिनियम की धारा 6 के उपबंधों के अधीन निर्मित किए गए निम्नलिखित अंकित मूल्य के सिक्कों का मानक वजन और ऐसे सिक्कों को बनाने में अनुज्ञात उपचार नीचे सारणी में विनिर्दिष्ट रूप में होगा :-

अंतर हो सकता है ।
से 18.5% हो सकता है ।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 24th January, 2007
G.S.R. 43 ( E) . In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub - section ( 1 ) of Section 21 read with Section 7 of the CoinageAct , 1906 (3 of 1906 ), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules , namely:-
1. Short title and commencement. ( 1 ) These rules may be called the Coinage of the Five Rupees coined to commemoratethe occasion of " Unity in Diversity" , Rules , 2006 .
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette .
2. Definition. In these rules , " Act " means the Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906) .
3. Standard Weight and Remedy allowed on coins of certain denominations coined to commemorate the occasion of " Unity in Diversity " :
The standard weight of the coins of the following denominations , coined under the provisions of Section 6 of the Act,to commemorate the occasion of " Unity in Diversity " and the remedy allowed in making of such coins shall be as specified in the Table bleow :-

1/200th plus or minus for Chromium that is to say Chromium could vary from 17.5 % to 18.5 %
1/25th plus or minus , that is to say , the weight could vary from 5.76 grams to 6.24grams.
