(ग) अभ्यर्थिताएं वापस लेने की अन्तिम तारीख 5 फरवरी , 2007 (सोमवार); -
(घ) वह तारीख, जिसको यदि आवश्यक हुआ तो , मतदान होगा 21 फरवरी , 2007 ( बुधवार ) ; और आ.अ. 10 ( अ) यतः , उत्तरांचल ( नाम परिवर्तन) अधिनियम , 2006 (2006 का 52 ) के उपबन्धों तथा उसके अधीन गृह मंत्रालय के द्वारा जारी दिनांक 29 दिसम्बर , 2006 की अधिसूचना सं. सा.का.नि. 779 ( अ ) के अनुसरण में उत्तरांचल राज्य का नाम उत्तराखण्डदिनांक 1 जनवरी , 2007 से परिवर्तित किया गया है; और
(ङ) वह तारीख , जिससे पूर्व निर्वाचन सम्पन्न करा लिया जाएगा 2 मार्च , 2007 (शुक्रवार );
नियम करता है; और
1. यतः , उत्तराखण्ड राज्य से लोक सभा में उस राज्य के 1- टिहरी गढ़वाल लोक सभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से निर्वाचित , श्री मानवेन्द्र शाह का स्थान उनकी मृत्यु हो जाने के परिणामस्वरूप 5 जनवरी , 2007 को रिक्त हो गया है ; और
(इ ) 8.00 बजे पूर्वाह्न से 5.00 बजे अपराहन तक का समय , ऐसे समय के रूप में नियत करता है जिसके दौरान यदि आवश्यक हुआ तो , निर्वाचन के लिए उपरोक्त विनिर्दिष्ट तारीख को , मतदान होगा । 1
2. यतः , इस प्रकार हुई रिक्ति को भरने के प्रयोजन से उप - निर्वाचन कराया जाना है ;

ललित मोहन, सचिव 3. अतः, अब , लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 ( 1951 का 43 ) की धारा 149 की उप- धारा ( 1 ) , तथा धाराओं 30 और 56 के अनुसरण में , भारत निर्वाचन आयोग , एतद्द्वारा-
ELECTION COMMISSION OF INDIA NOTIFICATION New Delhi , the 25th January, 2007 ( अ ) उत्तराखण्ड राज्य में उक्त 1 - टिहरी गढ़वाल लोक सभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से यह अपेक्षा करता है कि वह 2 मार्च, 2007 (शुक्रवार) से पूर्व तथा उक्त अधिनियम के और तद्धीन बनाए गए नियमों और किए गए आदेशों के उपबन्धों के अनुसार लोक सभा में उक्त रिक्ति को भरने के प्रयोजन से एक व्यक्ति निर्वाचित करें;
(आ) उक्त निर्वाचन के सम्बन्ध में -
(क) नामनिर्देशन करने की अन्तिम तारीख 1 फरवरी , 2007 ( बृहस्पतिवार);

Whereas , the name of the State of Uttaranchal has been altered as Uttarakhand with effect from 1st January , 2007 , in pursuance of provisions of Uttaranchal (Alteration of Name) Act, 2006 (52 of 2006) andNotification No. G.S.R.779 (E) , dated the 29th December , 2006 issued thereunder by the Ministry of Home Affairs ; and

2. Whereas , the seat of Shri Manabendra Shah , in the House of the People elected from 1 -Tehri Garhwal Parliamentary Constituency, in the State of Uttarakhand , has become vacant on 5th January , 2007 by the reason of hisdeath; and
3 Whereas , a bye - election is to be held for the purpose of filling the vacancy so caused;
4.Now, therefore , in pursuance of Sub - section (1) of Section 149 , and Sections 30 and 56 of the Representation ofthe People Act , 1951 (43 of 1951 ), the Election Commission ofIndiahereby:
(A) calls upon the said 1- Tehri Garhwal Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Uttarakhand to elect, before the 2nd March, 2007 (Friday ) and in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the rules and orders made thereunder , a person for the purpose of filling the said vacancy in the House of the People;
(B) appoints, with respect to the said election:
(a) the 1st February , 2007 (Thursday ) , as the last date for making nominations;
(b) the 2nd February , 2007 (Friday ), as the date for the scrutiny of nominations ;
(c) the 5th February , 2007 (Monday ), as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures;
(d) the 21st February, 2007 (Wednesday) , as the date on which a poll shall , if necessary, be taken; and
(c) the 2nd March, 2007 (Friday) , as the date before which the election shall be completed; and
(C) fixes the hours from 8.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. as the hours during which poll shall, if necessary , be taken on the date specified above , for the election.
