का.आ. 462( अ ).-केन्द्रीय सरकार की जानकारी में यह बात आयी है कि देश में कुछ केबल ऑपरेटर अपने केबल टेलीविजन नेटवर्क के जरिये " एफटीवी.कॉम इंडिया " नामक एक उपग्रह चैनल को प्रसारित/पुनःप्रसारित कर रहे हैं जिसके बारे में " मिडनाईट हॉट " जैसे कार्यक्रमों को प्रसारित करने की सूचना मिली है जिसमें अपर्याप्त वस्त्र पहने हुए मॉडल और अर्द्ध- नग्न मॉडल दिखाई जाती हैं जो कि सुरुचि और शालीनता के विरुद्ध हैं , महिलाओं को अपमानित करते हैं तथा जिनसे जनसामान्य की नैतिकता पर प्रतिकूल प्रभाव पड़ने की संभावना है । इसलिए, केन्द्रीय सरकार देश में उक्त चैनल के प्रसारण या पुनःप्रसारण पर रोक लगाना आवश्यक समझती है ।
2. इसलिए, अब केन्द्रीय सरकार, समय- समय पर यथा- संशोधित केबल टेलीविजन नेटवर्क ( विनियमन ) अधिनियम , 1995 (1995 की सं. 7) की धारा 20 की उप- धारा ( 2 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए " एफटीवी.कॉम इंडिया " को सारे देश में केबल टेलीविजन नेटवर्क अथवा किसी अन्य मंच के जरिए प्रसारित/पुनःप्रसारित करने पर दिनांक 01-04-2007 से 30-05-2007 तक एतद्द्वारा रोक लगाती है ।

New Delhi , the 29th March , 2007
S.O. 462( E) . It has come to the notice of the Central Government that some Cable Operators in the country through their Cable Television Networks are trans- mitting/re - transmitting a satellite channel namely "FTV.Com India " which is reportedly telecasting programmes such as ' Midnight Hot ' wherein skimpily dressed and semi naked models are shown that are against good taste and decency , denigrates women and are likely adversely affect public morality . Therefore, the Central Government thinks it necessary to prohibit transmission or re - transmission of the said channel in the country.
2.Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Sub - section (2) of Section 20 of the Cable Television Networks Regulation Act, 1995 (No. 7 of 1995) , as amended from time to time , Central Government hereby prohibits transmission/re-transmission of " FTV.Com India" with effect from 01-04-2007 and up to 30-05-2007 through Cable Television Networks and any other platform throughout the country.
