सा.का.नि. 264( अ ) केन्द्रीय सरकार, रेल अधिनियम, 1989 ( 1989 का 24 ) की धारा 136 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, रेल सेवक ( काम के घंटे और विश्राम की अवधि ) नियम , 2005 में संशोधन करने के लिए निम्नलिखित नियम बनाती है , अर्थात्: - ( 1 ) इन नियमों का संक्षिप्त नाम रेल सेवक ( काम के घंटे और विश्राम की अवधि) संशोधन नियम , 2007 है ।
(2 ) वे राजपत्र में प्रकाशन की तारीख को प्रवृत्त होंगे ।
( 3 ) ये केवल उन्हीं रेल सेवकों को लागू होंगे जिनको अधिनियम का अध्याय 14 लागू होता है ।
(4 ) रेल सेवक (काम के घंटे और विश्राम की अवधि) नियम , 2005 के नियम 4 , उप - नियम ( 2 ) में " में भारत सरकार के सचिव " शब्दों का लोप किया जाएगा ।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 16th March, 2007
G.S.R. 264 (E ) . In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 136 of the Railways Act , 1989 (24 of 1989) the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, to amend the Railway Servants ( Hours of Work and Period of Rest) Rules , 2005 namely:-
( 1) These rules may be called the Railway Servants ( Hours of Work and Period of Rest ) Amendment Rules , 2007.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette .
(3 ) they shall apply only to those railway servants to whom Chapter XIV of the Act applies .
( 4) in the Railway Servants ( Hours of Work and Period of Rest) Rules , 2005. in Rule 4, sub -rule (2) , the words "Secretary to the Government of India in the " shall be omitted .
