का.आ. 1556( अ ) अधिसूचना संख्यांक का.आ. 671(अ ) , तारीख 30 सितम्बर , 1996 द्वारा तमिलनाडु राज्य के लिए पारिस्थिति की क्षति ( निवारण और प्रतिकर का संदाय ) प्राधिकरण का गठन किया गया था;
और अधिसूचना संख्यांक का. आ. 1007 ( अ ) , तारीख 22 जून, 2007 द्वारा उक्त प्राधिकरण के सदस्य सचिव ( अगले आदेशों तक अतिरिक्त प्रभार ) के रूप में डॉ. जी. ओबलीसामी , सदस्य, तमिलनाडु पर्यावरण और प्रदूषण नियंत्रण अपील प्राधिकरण को नियुक्तकिया गया था;
और डॉ. जी. ओबलीसामी , भारत में नहीं है और उक्त प्राधिकरण के सदस्य सचिव के कर्तव्य पालन करने के लिए उपलब्ध नहींहैं;
अतः अब, केन्द्रीय सरकार ने पर्यावरण ( संरक्षण ) अधिनियम , 1986 ( 1986 का 29 ) की धारा 3 की उप- धारा ( 3 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए तमिलनाडु राज्य के लिए पारिस्थिति की क्षति (निवारण और प्रतिकर का संदाय ) प्राधिकरण के सदस्य- सचिव का अतिरिक्त प्रभार डॉ. के. वेंकटरामन , सदस्य- सचिव , राष्ट्रीय जैवविविधता प्राधिकरण को देती है और अधिसूचना सं. का.आ. 671 (अ ) , तारीख 30 सितम्बर , 1996 , में उक्त प्रयोजन के लिए, निम्नलिखित और संशोधन करती है , अर्थात्:
उक्त अधिसूचना में,--
(i ) क्र. सं. (4 ) से संबंधित प्रविष्टियों में " सदस्य- सचिव (अगले आदेश तक अतिरिक्त प्रभार ) " शब्दों और कोष्ठकों के स्थान पर " सदस्य " शब्द रखा जाएगा;
(ii ) क्र. सं. ( 5) और उससे संबंधित प्रविष्टियों के स्थान पर निम्नलिखित क्र.सं. और प्रविष्टियाँ रखी जाएंगी, अर्थात्:-
सदस्य-सचिव " ( 5 ) डा. के. वेंकटरामन ,
(अगले आदेशों तक सदस्य-सचिव ,
अतिरिक्त प्रभार ) " !

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 17th September , 2007
S.O. 1556( E) .-Whereas , the Loss of Ecology (Prevention and Payments of Compensation ) Authority for the State ofTamil Nadu was constituted vide notification number S.O. 671 (E) , dated the 30th September , 1996;
And, whereas,Dr. G. Oblisamy, Member , Tamil Nadu Environment and Pollution Control Appellate Authority was appointed as Member - Secretary (Additional Charge till further orders ) of the said Authority vide notification number S.O. 1007 (E ) , dated the 22nd June , 2007 .
Andwhereas , Dr. G. Oblisamy is not in India and not available to perform the duties of the Member - Secretary to the said Authority;
Now, therefore , in exercise of the powers conferred by Sub - section ( 3 ) of Section 3 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986 ) , the Central Government hereby give Additional Charge of the Member - Secretary of the Loss of Ecology ( Prevention and Payments of Compensation) Authority for the State of Tamil Nadu to Dr. K. Venkataraman , Member- Secretary , National Biodiversity Authority , and for that purpose makes following further amendments in the notification number S.O.671 (E) , dated the 30th September , 1996, namely : --
In the said notification, -
(i) in the entries relating to serial number (4) . for the words and brackets " Member Secretary

(Additional Charge till further orders )" , the word "Member" shall be substituted;
(ii) for serial number (5) and entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entries shall be substituted, namely:-
"(5) Dr. K. Venkataraman , Member-Secretary , National Biodiversity Authority. Member - Secretary (Additional Charge till further orders )" .
