का.आ. 1840(अ) .-राष्ट्रपति, अण्डमान और निकोबार द्वीप समूह ( पंचायत ) विनियम , 1994 ( 1994 का 1 ) के साथ पठित , संविधान के अनुच्छेद 243 एल के परन्तुक द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए भारत सरकार गृह मंत्रालय द्वारा 23 अप्रैल , 1994 को जारी की गई अधिसूचनाओं का. आ. 324 (अ ) , का.आ. 325 (अ) , का.आ. 326 ( अ ) और का.आ. 327 ( अ ) द्वारा यथासंशोधित , संविधान के अनुच्छेद 243- के के खण्ड ( 1 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए एतद्वारा श्रीमती रेणु साहनी धर, आईएएस (सेवानिवृत्त ) को अण्डमान एवं निकोबार द्वीप समूह , लक्षद्वीप , दादरा एवं नगर हवेली तथा दमण एवं दीव के लिए संयुक्त चुनाव आयोग का संयुक्त निर्वाचन आयुक्त नियुक्त करते हैं और इस उद्देश्य के लिए भारत सरकार गृह मंत्रालय की दिनांक 4 अक्तूबर, 1994 की अधिसूचना सं. का.आ. 725 ( अ ) ( जिसे यहां उक्त अधिसूचना के रूप में उल्लिखित किया गया ) में निम्नलिखित और संशोधन करते हैं, अर्थात्:-
S.O. 1840(E) . In exercise of the powers conferred byclause (1) ofarticle 243 Kof the Constitution , as modified by the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry ofHome Affairs numbers S.O. 324(E), S.O.325 (E) , S.O. 326(E) and S.O.327 (E) , all of dated the 23rd April, 1994 issued in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 243 L of the Constitution , read with Section 185 of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands (Panchayats) Regulation , 1994 (1 of 1994) , the President is pleased to appoint Mrs. Renu Sahni Dhar, IAS (Retired) as the comimon Election Commissioner to the common Election Commission for the Union Territories of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep , Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu and for that purpose makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India inthe Ministry of Home Affairs number S.O. 725 (E) dated the 4th October , 1994 (herein referred to as the said notification), namely:-
उपर्युक्त अधिसूचना में " 25 अक्तूबर, 2002 से नियुक्त श्री ऋषि देव कपूर आईएएस ( सेवा निवृत्त ) " प्रयुक्त शब्दों, अंकों, अक्षरों और ब्रैकेटों, के स्थान पर 29 अक्तूबर , 2007 से नियुक्त श्रीमती रेणु साहनी धर आईएएस ( सेवानिवृत्त ) " शब्द, अंक, अक्षर और ब्रैकेट प्रतिस्थापित किए जाएंगे ।
Inthe said notification for the words , figures, etters and brackets" appoint Shri Rishi Dev Kapur, IAS (Retired) witheffect from the 25th day ofOctober, 2002 " , the words , figures, letters and brackets " appoint Smt . Renu Sahni Dhar, IAS (Retired) with effect from the 29th day of October , 2007 " shall be substituted.

Note : The principal notification was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary vide number S.O. 725 (Ε) , dated the 4th October, 1994 and subsequently amended vide numbers S.O. 742 (E ), dated the 25th October , 1996 and S.O. 1128 (E) , dated the 25th October , 2002.
