आ.अ. 129( अ ).-यतः, लोक सभा में बिहार राज्य के 36- विक्रमगंज संसदीय निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से निर्वाचित श्री अजीत कुमार सिंह का स्थान उनकी मृत्यु हो जाने के परिणामस्वरूप दिनांक 1 अगस्त, 2007 को रिक्त हो गया है; और
2. यतः , इस प्रकार हुई रिक्ति को भरने के प्रयोजन से उप- निर्वाचन कराया जाना है;
3. अतः , अब , लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम, 1951 ( 1951 का 43 ) की धारा 149 की उप - धारा ( 1 ) और धाराओं 30 और 56 के अनुसरण में भारत निर्वाचन आयोग एतद्वारा :-
(अ) बिहार राज्य से उक्त 36 - विक्रमगंज संसदीय क्षेत्र से यह अपेक्षा करता है कि वह 5 जनवरी, 2008 ( शनिवार ) से पूर्व उक्त अधिनियम के और तद्धीन बनाये गये नियमों और किये गये आदेशों के उपबंधों के अनुसार लोक सभा में उक्त रिक्ति को भरने के प्रयोजन से एक व्यक्ति निर्वाचित करें ;
( आ) उक्त,निर्वाचन के संबंध में :-
(क) नामनिर्देशन करने की अन्तिम तारीख
: 11 दिसम्बर, 2007 ( मंगलवार )
(ख) नामनिर्देशनों की संवीक्षा तारीख
: 12दिसम्बर, 2007 ( बुधवार )
(ग) अभ्यर्थिताएं वापिस लेने की अन्तिम तारीख
: 14दिसम्बर , 2007 ( शुक्रवार)
: 29दिसम्बर , 2007 (शनिवार )
(घ) वह तारीख जिसको , यदि आवश्यक हुआ तो मतदान होगा
: 05जनवरी , 2008 ( शनिवार)
(ङ) वह तारीख जिससे पूर्व निर्वाचन सम्पन्न करा लिया जाएगा ।
(इ) 7.00 बजे पूर्वाहन से 4.00 बजे अपराह्न तक का समय, ऐसे समय के रूप में नियत करता है जिसके दौरान , यदि आवश्यक हुआ तो, निर्वाचन के लिए उक्त विनिर्दिष्ट तारीख को मतदान होगा ।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 4th December , 2007
Ο . Ν . 129(E ) .--Whereas , the seat of Shri Ajit Kumar Singh in the House of the People , elected from 36-Bikramganj Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Bihar, has become vacant on 1st August, 2007 by reason ofhis death; and
2.Whereas , a bye- election is to be held for the purpose of filling the vacancy so caused;
3. Now, therefore, in pursuance of sub - section ( 1 ) of Section 149 and Sections 30 and 56 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 (43 of 1951 ) , Election Commission of India hereby :-
(A) calls upon the said 36 - Bikramganj Parliamentary Constituency , in the State of Bihar , to elect before the 5th January 2008 ( Saturday ) and in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the rules and orders made thereunder, a person for the purpose of filling the said vacancy in the Lok Sabha;
(B) appoints , with respectto the said election : ---
(a) the 11th December , 2007 (Tuesday ) , as the last date for making nominations ;
(b) the 12th December , 2007 (Wednesday) , as the date for the scrutiny of nominations ;
(c) the 14th December , 2007 (Friday ) , as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures ;
(d) the 29th December , 2007 ( Saturday) , as the date on which a poll shall , if necessary , be taken ; and (e) the 5th January , 2008 ( Saturday ) , as the date before which the election shall be completed; and (C) fixes the hours from 7.00 A.M. to 4.00 P.M. as the hours during which the poll shall , if necessary , be taken on the date specified above for the election .
