The following Act of Parliament received the assent of the President on the 12th December , 2007, and is hereby published for general information:-
THE PAYMENT OF BONUS ( AMENDMENT) ACT, 2007
No. 45 OF 2007

AnAct further to amend the Payment ofBonus Act, 1965.
BE it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty- eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
1. ( 1) This Act may be called the Payment of Bonus (Amendment) Act, 2007 .
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of April, 2006 .
Short title and commence- ment .

Amendment of section 2 .
2. In section 2 of the Payment of Bonus Act, 1965 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), in clause ( 13 ) , for the words "three thousand and five hundred rupees " , the word's "ten thousand rupees " shall be substituted .
of section 12 . Amendment 3. In section 12 of the principal Act, for the words "two thousand and five hundred rupees" , at both the places where they occur, the words "three thousand and five hundred rupees " shall respectively be substituted.
4. In section 32 of the principal Act , clause (vi) shall be omitted .

5.(7) The Payment of Bonus (Amendment ) Ordinance , 2007 is hereby repealed .
Repeal and saving.
Ord. 8 of 2007.
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal of the Payment of Bonus (Amendment) Ordinance , 2007, anything done or any action taken under the said Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the corresponding provisions of this Act .
