सा.का.नि. 47 (अ) .-केन्द्रीय सरकार , सिक्का निर्माण अधिनियम , 1906 ( 1906 का 3 ) की धारा 7 के साथ पठित शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, निम्नलिखित नियम बनाती है, अर्थात्:- धारा 21 की उप- धारा ( 1 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त
1. संक्षिप्त नाम और प्रारंभ ( 1 ) इन नियमों का संक्षिप्त नाम " लाल बहादुर शास्त्री जन्मशती ( 1904–2004 ) " के अवसर पर स्मरणोत्सव मनाने के लिए पांच रुपए के सिक्कों का निर्माण नियम , 2007 है ।
(2 ) ये राजपत्र में प्रकाशन की तारीख को प्रवृत्त होंगे ।
i 2. मानक वजन तथा अनुज्ञात उपचार :-" लाल बहादुर शास्त्री जन्मशती " के अवसर पर स्मरणोत्सव मनाने के लिए सिक्कानिर्माण अधिनियम , 1906 की धारा 6 के उपबंधों के अधीन निर्मित किए गए पांच रुपए अंकित मूल्य के सिक्कों का मानक वजन और ऐसे सिक्कों को बनाने में अनुज्ञात उपचार नीचे सारणी में विनिर्दिष्ट रूप में होगा , अर्थात्:-

हो सकता है ।
16% से 18 % तक अंतर हो
सकता है ।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 17th January , 2008
G.S.R. 47 (E ) . In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of Section 21 , read with Section 7 of the Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906) , the Central Government hereby makes the following rules , namely :-
1. Short title and commencement. ( 1 ) These rules may be called the Coinage of the Five Rupees coined to commemorate the occasion of " Lal Bahadur Shastri Birth Centenary ( 1904-2004)" Rules , 2007.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette .
2. Standard Weight and Remedy allowed. The standard weight of the coin Five Rupees denomination , coined under the provisions of Section 6 of the Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906) and the remedy allowed in making of such coin to commemorate the occasion of " Lal Bahadur Shastri Birth Centenary " shall be as specified in the Table below, namely :--

1/100th plus or minus for Chromium that is to say, Chromium could vary from 16% to 18% ,
1/25thplus or minus , that is to say, the weight could vary from 5.76 grams to 6.24 grams .
