का.आ. 122 (अ).-केन्द्रीय सरकार, सिक्का निर्माण अधिनियम, 1906 ( 1906 का 3 ) की धारा 6 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , निम्नलिखित सिक्के के अंकित मूल्य , आकार , डिजाइन और संरचना को अवधारित करती है कि:-
(क ) " तेल और प्राकृतिक गैस निगम का स्वर्ण जयंती समारोह " के अवसर पर स्मरणोत्सव मनाने के लिए केन्द्रीय सरकार के प्राधिकारी के अधीन जारी करने के लिए टकसाल में पाँच रुपए के अंकित मूल्य के सिक्कों का निर्माण भी किया जाएगा ;
(ख ) पाँच रुपए अंकित मूल्य के सिक्के , निम्नलिखित विमाओं, डिजाइन और धातु संरचना के अनुरूप होंगे , अर्थात्:-

(ग ) पाँच रुपए का सिक्का निम्नलिखित डिजाइन के अनुरूप होगा , अर्थात्:-
( i ) मुख भाग
सिक्के के मुख भाग दो समतल रेखाओं की सहायता से तीन भागों में विभाजित होगा । बाएं मध्य भाग पर " अशोक स्तंभ " का सिंह शीर्ष होगा जिसके नीचे हिन्दी में " सत्यमेव जयते " इबारत अंतर्लिखित होगी , दायें मध्य भाग पर अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अंकों में अंकित मूल्य " 5 " शब्द होगा । ऊपरी भाग पर हिन्दी में " भारत " शब्द और अंग्रेजी में " INDIA" शब्द होगा और निचले भाग पर हिन्दी में " रुपये " शब्द और अंग्रेजी "RUPEES" शब्द होगा ।
( ii ) पृष्ठ भाग
सिक्के के इस भाग पर मध्य में ' 50 ' के भीतर " तेल और प्राकृतिक गैस निगम " का लोगों होगा , जो तेल एवं प्राकृतिक गै 50वां वर्ष के समारोह को प्रदर्शित करेगा । संख्या ' 50 ' के ऊपर शब्द ' ongc ' होगा और संख्या के ठीक नीचे वर्ष ' 1956-2006 '

और दाएं भाग पर कुछ पुष्प- विषयक नक्काशी होगी । लोगो एवं शब्द ' ONGC ' के ऊपर सिक्का के ऊपरी भाग पर अंग्रेजी में शब्द "CELEBRATING INDIA " लिखा होगा और लोगो एवं वर्ष ' 1956-2006' के नीचे सिक्का के निचले भाग पर हिन्दी में " उत्सवरत भारत " लिखा होगा ।
( iii ) पाँच रुपए के सिक्के लिए सुरक्षा किनारा
परिधि पर सिक्का का सुरक्षा किनारा होगा । किनारे के मध्य में रिक्त जगहों द्वारा पृथक किए हुए दो खंडों के अंदर की ओर डिजाइन में उथला खांचा होगा । इस डिजाइन में उभार में मनकों की श्रृंखला अंतर्विष्ट होगी और प्रत्येक मनका उभार में झुकी हुई एक पंक्तिद्वारा अनुगम किए होगा । इसमें कुल 30 पंक्तियां और 30 मनके होंगे ।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 21st January, 2008
S.O. 122 (E ) .- In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 6 of the Coinage Act , 1906 ( 3 of 1906) , the Central Government hereby determines the denomination , dimension, design and composition of the following coin , namely :--
(a) the coin of Five Rupees denomination shall be coined at the Mint for issue under the authority of the Central Government to commemorate the occasion of " GOLDEN JUBILEE CELEBRATION OF ONGC" ;
(b) the coin of the Five Rupees denomination shall also conform to the following dimension, and composition, as specified in the Table below namely :-

(c) the coin of Five Rupees shall also conform to the following design , namely : ---
(1) OBVERSE
This face of the coin is divided into three portions with two horizontal lines . The center portion shall bear the " Lion Capitol " of Ashoka Pillar with the legend " सत्यमेव जयते " inscribed below and right center portion denominational value " 5 " in International Numerals . In the upper portion the word " भारत" in Hindi and " INDIA " in English and lower portion the word "रुपये" in Hindi and " RUPEES " in English;
(ii) REVERSE
This face ofthe coin shall bear the logo of " OIL AND NATURAL GAS CORPORATION " inside the number of "50" in the center which denotes celebration of ONGC . On top of the number ' 50' is the letters ' onge ' and just on the bottom ofthe number is the year 1956--2006 ' flanked on the left and right side with some floral design . The words " CELEBRATING INDIA " in English is written on the top of the coin above the logo and letters ' onge ' and the words " उत्सवरत भारत" is written on the bottom side of the coin below the logo and the year ' 1956-2006 ' ;
(iii) SECURITY EDGE FOR FIVE RUPEES
The edge of the coin shall be security edged on periphery . At the center of the edge there shall be groove with a design inside the two section separated by blank spaces . This design shall consist of chain of beads in relief and each bead being followed by one inclined line in relief. There shall be total 30 lines and 30 beads .
