का.आ. 123(अ).-केन्द्रीय सरकार, सिक्का निर्माण अधिनियम , 1906 ( 1906 का 3 ) की धारा 6 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , पांच रुपये के सिक्के के लिए निम्नलिखित विमाओं , डिजाइन और संरचना को अवधारित करती है , अर्थात्:-
(क) " भारतीय स्टेट बैंक द्विशतवार्षिक वर्ष " के अवसर पर स्मरणोत्सव मनाने के लिए केन्द्रीय सरकार के प्राधिकार के अधीन जारी करने के लिए टकसाल में पांच रुपए अंकित मूल्य के सिक्कों का निर्माण भी किया जाएगा ,
(ख ) पांच रुपए के अंकित मूल्य के सिक्के, निम्नलिखित विमाओं, डिजाइन और धातु संरचना के अनुरूप होंगे , अर्थात्:-

(ग) पांच रुपए का सिक्का निम्नलिखित डिजाइन के भी अनुरूप होगा , अर्थात्: -
( i ) मुख भाग: - सिक्के का मुख भाग दो समतल रेखाओं की सहायता से तीन भागों में विभाजित होगा । बाएं मध्य भाग पर " अशोक स्तंभ " का सिंह शीर्ष होगा जिसके नीचे हिन्दी में " सत्यमेव जयते " इबारत अंतर्लिखित होगी । दाएं मध्य भाग पर अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अंकों में अंकित मूल्य " 5 " भी होगा । ऊपरी भाग पर हिन्दी में " भारत " शब्द और अंग्रेजी में " INDIA " शब्द होगा और निचले भाग पर हिन्दी में " रुपये " शब्द और अंग्रेजी में " RUPEES" शब्द होगा ।
(ii ) पृष्ठ भाग:-सिक्के के इस भाग पर मध्य दायीं भाग में " भारतीय स्टेट बैंक " का लोगो होगा , जिसके बाएं भाग पर वर्ष " 1806 " और दाएं भाग पर वर्ष " 2006 " अंकित होगा । बाएं और दाएं ऊपरी परिधि पर पत्तियों पर डिजाइन का कुछ काम किया होगा । लोगो के ऊपर सिक्केके ऊपरी भाग पर हिन्दी में " भारतीय स्टेट बैंक " शब्द और " भारतीय स्टेट बैंक " के लोगो के नीचे सिक्के के निचले भाग पर अंग्रेजी में " STATE BANK OF INDIA " शब्द लिखा होगा ।

( iii ) पांच रुपए के सिक्के के लिए सुरक्षा किनारा :-परिधि पर सिक्के का सुरक्षा किनारा होगा । किनारे के मध्य में रिक्त जगहों द्वारा पृथक किए हुए दो खंडों के अंदर की ओर डिजाइन में उथला खांचा होगा । इस डिजाइन में उभार में मनकों की श्रृंखला अंतर्विष्ट होगी और प्रत्येक मनका उभार में झुकी हुई एक पंक्ति द्वारा अनुगम किए होगा । इसमें कुल 30 पंक्तियां और 30 मनके होंगे ।

New Delhi , the 3rd January, 2008
S.O. 123 ( E ) . In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 6 of the Coinage Act , 1906 (3 of 1906 ) , the Central Government hereby determines the denomination, dimension and composition of the coin of Five Rupees , namely: -...
(a) the coin of Five Rupces denomination shall be coined at the Mint for issue under the authority of the Central Government to commemorate the occasion of " STATE BANK OF INDIA BICENTENNIAL YEAR" ,
(b) the coin of the Five Rupees denomination shall also conform to the following dimension , and composition , as specified in the Table below, namely:-

(c) the coin of Five Rupees shall also conform to the following design, namely: ----
(i ) OBVERSE : --This face of the coin is divided into three portions with two horizontal lines . The LEFT center portion shall bear the " Lion Capitol " of Ashoka Pillar with the legend " सत्यमेव जयते " inscribed below and right center portion denominational value " 5 " in International Numerals. In the upper portion the word " भारत " in Hindi and "INDIA" in English and lower portion the word "रुपये " in Hindi and " RUPEES " in English .
( ii ) REVERSE :--This face of the coin shall bear the logo ofthe "STATE BANK OF INDIA" in the center flanked on the left side with the year " 1806 " and on the right side with the year "2006" . The left and right upper periphery is flanked by some design works on leaves. The words " भारतीय स्टेट बैंक " in Hindi are written on the top of the coin above the logo and the words " STATE BANK OF INDIA " in English is written on the bottom side ofthe coin below the logo of STATE BANK OF INDIA.
( iii ) SECURITY EDGE FOR FIVE RUPEES :--The edge of the coin shall be security edged on periphery. At the center of the edge there shall be groove with a design inside the two section separated by blank spaces . This design shall consist of chain of beads in relief and each bead being followed by one inclined line in relief. There shall be total 30 lines and 30 beads .
