का.आ. 125( अ ) केन्द्रीय सरकार, सिक्का निर्माण अधिनियम , 1906 (1906 का 3 ) की धारा 6 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए पांच रुपए के सिक्के के अंकित मूल्य , आकार , डिजाईन और संरचना को अवधारित करती है , कि :-
(क) " लाल बहादुर शास्त्री जन्मशती " के अवसर पर स्मरणोत्सव मनाने के लिए केन्द्रीय सरकार के प्राधि- कार के अधीन जारी करने के लिए टकसाल में पांच रुपए के अंकित मूल्य के सिक्कों का निर्माण भी किया जाएगा;
(ख ) पांच रुपए अंकित मूल्य के सिक्के , नीचे दी गई सारणी में यथाविनिर्दिष्ट निम्नलिखित विमाओं , डिजाइन और धातु संरचना के अनुरूप होंगे , अर्थात्:--

(ग) पांच रुपए का सिक्का निम्नलिखित डिजाइन के अनुरूप होगा , अर्थात्:-

(1) ( i ) मुख भाग, सिक्के के मुख भाग दो समतल रेखाओं कीसहायता से तीन भागों में विभाजित होगा । बाएं मध्य भाग पर " अशोक स्तंभ " का सिंह शीर्ष होगा जिसके नीचे हिन्दी में " सत्यमेव जयते" इबारत अंतर्लिखित होगी , दायें मध्य भाग पर अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अंकों में अंकित मूल्य " 5 " शब्द होगा । ऊपरी भाग पर हिन्दी में " भारत " शब्द और अंग्रेजी में " INDIA " शब्द होगा और निचले भाग पर हिन्दी में " रुपये " शब्द और अंग्रेजी में " RUPEES " शब्द होगा ।
( ii ) पृष्ठ भाग. सिक्के के इस भाग पर " लाल बहादुर शास्त्री का चित्र" होगा , जिसकी बांयी परिधि पर "लाल बहादुर शास्त्री जन्मशती " शब्द हिन्दी में लिखे होंगे और ऊपर तथा दायीं परिधि पर " LAL BAHADUR SHASTRI BIRTH CENTENARY " शब्द अंग्रेजी में लिखे होंगे । चित्र के नीचे अंतर्राष्ट्रीच अंक में अंकों में अंक " 1904-2004 " दर्शाया जाएगा ।
( iii ) पांच रुपए के सिक्के के लिए सुरक्षा किनारा. -परिधि पर सिक्का का सुरक्षा किनारा होगा । किनारे के मध्य में रिक्त जगहों द्वारा पृथक किए हुए दो खंडों के अंदर की ओर डिजाइन में उथला खांचा होगा । इस डिजाइन में उभार में मनकों की श्रृंखला अंतर्विष्ट होगी और प्रत्येक मनका उभार में झुकी हुई एक पंक्ति द्वारा अनुगम किए होगा । इसमें कुल 30 पंक्तियां और 30 मनके होंगे ।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 17th January, 2008
S.O. 125( E) . In exercise of the powers conferred bySection 6 of the Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906) , the Central Government hereby determines the denomination , dimension, design and composition of the coin of Five Rupees , namely:---
(a) the coin of Five Rupees denomination shall be coined at the Mint for issue under the authority of the Central Government to commemorate the occasion of " LAL BAHADUR SHASTRI BIRTH CENTENARY" ;
(b) the coin of the Five Rupees denomination shall also conform to the following dimension , desiga and composition; as specified in the Table below namely:-

(c) The coin ofFive Rupees shall also conform to the following design , namely :-

(i) OBVERSE . This face of the coin is divided into three portions with two horizontal lines . The center portion shall bear the "Lion Capitol " ofAshoka Pillar with the legend " सत्यमेव जयते " inscribed below and right center portion denominational value "5 " in International Numerals . In the upper portion the word " भारत " in Hindi and " INDIA " in English and lower portion the word " रुपये " in Hindi and " RUPEES " in English .
( ii ) REVERSE. This face of the coin shall bear the portrait of " LAL BAHADUR SHASTRI " flanked on the left periphery with the words "लाल बहादुर शास्त्री जन्मशती " In Hindi and on the top and right periphery " LAL BAHADUR SHASTRI BIRTH CENTENARY" in English . The figure 1904-2004 shall be shown below the portrait in International Numerals .
( iii) SECURITY EDGE FOR FIVE RUPEES .- The edge of the coin shall be security edged on periphery . At the center of the edge their shall be groove with a design inside the two section separated by blank spaces . This design shall consist of chain of beads in relief and each bead being followed by one inclined line in relief. Their shall be total 30 lines and 30 beads .
