का.आ. 136 (अ).-जबकि, प्रादेशिक ग्रामीण बैंक अधिनियम , 1976 ( 1976 का 21 ) ( इसके पश्चात् उक्त अधिनियम कहा गया है) की धारा 3 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, केन्द्र सरकार ने उत्तर प्रदेश राज्य में, दिनांक 20 मार्च, 1981 के का.आ. 207(अ) , दिनांक 28 मार्च, 1981 के का.आ. 241 ( अ ) और दिनांक 1 दिसम्बर , 1983 के का.आ. 877 ( अ ) अधिसूचनाओं के द्वारा क्रमशः अलीगढ़ ग्रामीण बैंक , एटा ग्रामीण बैंक और जमुना ग्रामीण बैंक के नामों से क्षेत्रीय ग्रामीण बैंकों का गठन किया ।
जबकि, उक्त अधिनियम की धारा 23 क की उप- धारा ( 1 ) के अंतर्गत प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , केन्द्र सरकार ने उत्तर प्रदेश राज्य के अलीगढ़ ग्रामीण विकास बैंक, एटा ग्रामीण बैंक और जमुना ग्रामीण बैंक को, भारत सरकार , वित्त मंत्रालय, आर्थिक कार्य विभाग ( बैंकिंग प्रभाग ) की दिनांक 1 जून , 2006 की अधिसूचना संख्या सं. के का.आ. 842 ( अ ) के अंतर्गत , समामेलित कर एकल क्षेत्रीय ग्रामीण बैंक अर्थात् श्रेयस ग्रामीण बैंक बना दिया है ।
चाहती है । और जबकि, केन्द्र सरकार श्रेयस ग्रामीण बैंक के परिचालन क्षेत्र का उत्तर प्रदेश राज्य के मथुरा जिले तक विस्तार को विनिर्दिष्ट करना
अतः अब , उक्त अधिनियम की धारा 3 के साथ पठित , धारा 23क के अंतर्गत प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , केन्द्र सरकार , एतद्वारा भारत सरकार , वित्त मंत्रालय , आर्थिक कार्य विभाग ( बैंकिंग प्रभाग ) की दिनांक 1 जून , 2006 की अधिसूचना संख्या का.आ. 842( अ) में निम्नलिखित संशोधन करती है , नामतः :-
उपर्युक्त अधिसूचना में अनुच्छेद 8 में , " आगरा , फिरोजाबाद और एटा " शब्दों के स्थान पर " आगरा , फिरोजाबाद , एटा और मथुरा " शब्द प्रतिस्थापित किए जाएंगे ।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 22nd January, 2008
S.O. 136 ( E ) . Whereas , in exercise of powers conferred under Section 3 of the Regional Rural Banks Act , 1976 (21 of 1976 ) (hereinafter referred as the said Act) , the Central Government established the Regional Rural Bank in the State of Uttar Pradesh in the names of Aligarh Gramin Bank, Etah Gramin Bank and Jamuna Gramin Bank , vide notification numbers S.O. 207( E) , dated the 20th March , 1981 , S.O. 241 ( E) , dated the 28th March , 1981 and S.O. 877 (E) dated the 1stDecember , 1983 , respectively.
Whereas , in exercise of powers conferred under sub-section ( 1 ) of Section 23A of the said Act, the Central Government provided for the amalgamation of the Aligarh Gramin Bank , Stah Gramin Bank and Jamuna Gramin Bank in the State ofUttar Pradesh into a single Regional Rural Bank i.e. Shreyas Gramin Bank, vide notification of the Govemment of India, Ministry of Finance , Department of Economic Affairs ( Banking Division) , number S.O. 842 (E) , dated the 1stJune , 2006 .
Andwhereas , the Central Government intends to specify the extension of area of operation of the Shreyas Gramin Bank to Mathura District in the State of Uttar Pradesh .
Now therefore, in exercise of powers conferred under Section 23A, read with Section 3 of the said Act , the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Finance , Department of Economic Affairs (Banking Division ), number S.O. 842(E ), dated 1st June , 2006 , namely :---
In the said notification , in Paragraph 8 , for the words " Agra, Firozabad and Etah " , the words " Agra, Firozabad , Etah and Mathura" shall be substituted .
