का.आ. 228( अ).-पशुधन आयात अधिनियम , 1898 ( 1898 का 9 ) के खंड 3 के उप-खंड ( 1 ) और खंड 3 ए के द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , केन्द्र सरकार , एतद्वारा , इस अधिसूचना के जारी होने की तारीख से निम्नलिखित को प्रतिबंधित करती है , ( i ) एवियन इंफ्लूएंजा ( हाइली पैथेजेनिक एवियन इंफ्लूएंजा और लो पैथेजेनिक एवियन इंफ्लूएंजा दोनों ) को दृष्टिगत रखते हुए सभी देश्खोंसे भारत में निम्नलिखित पशुधन तथा पशुधन उत्पादों का आयात , नामतः:--
( क ) केप्टिव पक्षियों सहित घरेलू तथा जंगली पक्षी ( कुक्कुट को छोड़कर ) ;
( ख ) जंगली पक्षियों सहित एवियन प्रजातियों से अपसंस्करित माँस एवं माँस उत्पाद ( कुक्कुट को छोड़कर) ;
(ग ) घरेलू एवं जंगली पक्षियों का वीर्य ।
(ii ) एवियन इंफ्लूएंजा ( हाइली पैथोजेनिक एवियन इंफ्लूएंजा और लो पैथोजेनिक एवियन इंफ्लूएंजा दोनों ) सूचित करने वाले देशों से भारत में पशुधन और पशुधन उत्पादों का आयात , नामतः :-
(क) जीवित कुक्कुट;
( ख ) एक दिन के चूजे बत्तख , टर्की और अन्य नवजात चूजा प्रजातियां;
( ग ) जंगली पक्षियों सहित एविएन प्रजातियों का माँस एवं माँस उत्पाद;
(घ) हैचिंग अण्डे;
(ङ) अण्डा तथा अण्डा उत्पाद ( विशेषकर पैथोजेन मुक्त अण्डों को छोड़कर ) ;
(च) पंख;
(छ ) जीवित सूअर तथा सूअर माँस उत्पाद ( प्रसंस्कृत सूअर के बाल के अलावा) ;
(ज ) पैथोलोजिकल सामग्री और पक्षियों से जैविकीय उत्पाद;
(झ ) पशु खाद्य या कृषि या औद्योगिक प्रयोग के लिए उपयोग करने के उद्देश्य से ( पक्षियों से ) पशु आधारित उत्पाद:
बशर्ते कि यह प्रतिबंध आयात के लिए सूखे प्रसंस्कृत पालतू पशु आहार , जिसमें एवियन प्रजातियों व सूअर का मीट तथा मीट उत्पाद पशु मूल ( पक्षियों से ) आधारित उत्पाद पशु आहार में इस्तेमाल के इरादे से शामिल हैं, के लिए लागू नहीं होंगे ।
तथा 2. यह प्रतिबंध इस अधिसूचना के प्रकाशन की तारीख से छः माह की अवधि तक या ऐसे समय में संशोधन अथवा वापसी तक जो भी पहले हो , लागू रहेगा ।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 31st January, 2008
S.O. 228 (E) . In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of Section 3 and Section 3A of the Live- stock Importation Act, 1898 (9 of 1898 ) , the Central Government hereby prohibits, with effect from the date ofpublication of thisnotification,
(i) the import into India from all countries in view of Avian Influenza (both Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza and Low Pathogenic Avian Influenza ) , the following live -stock and live - stock products , namely :-
( a) domestic and wild birds including the captive birds (excluding poultry);
(b) unprocessed meat and meat products from Avian species including wild birds ( except poultry) ;
(c) semen of domestic and wild birds .
(ii) the import into India from the countries reporting Avian Influenza (both Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza and Low Pathogenic Avian Influenza ) , the following live - stock and live- stock products , namely :-
(a) live poultry;
(b) day old chicks , ducks , turkey and other newly hatched Avian species ;
(c) meat and meat products from Avian species including wild birds;
( d) hatching eggs ;
(e) egg and egg products (except Specific Pathogen Free eggs );
(f) feathers;
(g) live pig and pig products (except processed pig bristles ) ;
(h) pathological material and biological products from birds;
(i ) product ofanimal origin ( from birds ) intended for use in animal feeding or for agricultural or industrial use :
Provided that the prohibition shall not be applicable on the import of dry processed pet food containing the ingredient of meat and meat products trom avian species , pig and product of animal origin (from birds ) intended for use in animal feeding .
2. The prohibition shall be in force for a period of six months from the date of publication of this notification or till such time it is modified or withdrawn , whichever is earlier .
