आ.अ. 6( अ ).-लोकप्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1950 ( 1950 का 43 ) की धारा 13 कक की उपधाराओं ( 1 ) एवं ( 2 ) में निहित उपबन्धों के अनुसरण में एवं आयोग की अधिसूचना सं. 508/तमिलनाडु/ 2001 दिनांक 15 फरवरी , 2001 के अधिक्रमण में निर्वाचन आयोग तमिलनाडु राज्य सरकार के परामर्श से एतद्वारा :-
( 1 ) निम्न सारणी के स्तम्भ ( 1 ) में विनिर्दिष्ट तमिलनाडु राज्य के प्रत्येक जिला/क्षेत्र के लिए स्तम्भ (2 ) में इसके सामने विनिर्दिष्ट अधिकारी को जिला/क्षेत्र के लिए जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी पदानिहित करता है,
(2) सारणी के स्तम्भ ( 3 ) में और उस क्षेत्र को विनिर्दिष्ट करता है जहां ऐसा प्रत्येक अधिकारी अपने क्षेत्राधिकार का प्रयोग करेगा ।.

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 31st January, 2008
O.N. 6(E). In pursuance of the provisions contained in sub -sections ( 1 ) and (2) of Section 13AA of the Representation ofthe People Act , 1950 (43 of 1950), and in supersession of its Notification No.508 /TN /2001 , dated 15th February , 2001 , the Election Commission in consultation with the State Government of Tamil Nadu hereby:
(1 ) Designates for each district/area in the State of Tamil Nadu specified in column ( 1 ) of the Table below the officer specified against it in column (2) thereof as the District Election Officer for the District/Area; and
(2) Specifies the area, in respect of which each such officer shall exercise jurisdiction , in column (3 ) of the Table .
