(2) ये नियम सरकारी राजपत्र में उनके प्रकाशन की तारीख से प्रवृत्त होंगे ।

2. उक्त नियमों में, नियम 6 के लिए निम्नलिखित नियम प्रतिस्थापित किए जांएगे , अर्थात्:-

सा.का.नि. 112 (अ) .-प्राचीन संस्मारक तथा पुरातत्वीय स्थल और अवशेष नियम, 1959 का और संशोधन करने के लिए संस्कृति मंत्रालय, भारतीय पुरातत्व सर्वेक्षण की अधिसूचना संख्या सा.का.नि. 37(अ) दिनांक 15-1-2008 द्वारा भारत के राजपत्र , भाग II , खंड 3 , उप- खंड ( i ) दिनांक 18 जनवरी , 2008 में प्राचीन संस्मारक तथा पुरातत्वीय स्थल और अवशेष अधिनियम , 1958 ( 1958 का 24 ) की धारा 38 की उप - धारा ( i ) की अपेक्षानुसार कतिपय नियमों का प्रारूप प्रकाशित किया गया था जिसमें ऐसे व्यक्तियों , जिनके उससे प्रभावित होने की संभावना है , से जिस तिथि को उक्त राजपत्र की प्रतियां, जिसमें यह अधिसूचना प्रकाशित हुई थी , के आम जनता को उपलब्ध होने की तिथिसे 15 दिन की अवधि के भीतर आपत्तियां तथा सुझाव आमंत्रित किए गए थे ।
और उक्त राजपत्र आम जनता को 18 जनवरी , 2008 को उपलब्ध करा दिया गया था;
और प्राप्त आपत्तियों तथा सुझावों पर केन्द्रीय सरकार द्वारा विधिवत विचार किया गया है;
1 " 6. प्रवेश शुल्क 15 वर्ष से अधिक आयु का कोई व्यक्ति संरक्षित स्मारक या इसके किसी भाग में निम्नानुसार प्रवेश शुल्क दिए बिना प्रवेश नहीं करेगा :-
(क) द्वितीय अनुसूची के भाग I में श्रेणी ' क' के रूप में यथा निर्दिष्ट स्मारक :
( i ) भारत का नागरिक 10 रु. प्रति व्यक्ति ।
(ii ) अन्य 250 रु. प्रति व्यक्ति ।
(ख) द्वितीय अनुसूची के भाग II में श्रेणी ' ख ' के रूप में यथा निर्दिष्ट स्मारक :
(i ) भारत का नागरिक 05 रु. प्रति व्यक्ति ।
( ii ) अन्य 100 रु. प्रति व्यक्ति ।

पाद टिप्पणी:-मुख्य नियम , भारत का राजपत्र , असाधारण , भाग II , खंड 3 , उप- खंड ( ii ) , दिनांक 15 अक्तूबर , 1959 के पृष्ठ 519-525 में का.आ. सं. 2036 द्वारा प्रकाशित किए गए और तत्पश्चात् निम्नानुसार संशोधित किए गए :-
इसलिए अब प्राचीन संस्मारक तथा पुरातत्वीय स्थल और अवशेष अधिनियम, 1958 ( 1958 का 24 ) की धारा 38 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियोंका प्रयोग करते हुए केन्द्रीय सरकार एतद्वारा प्राचीन संस्मारक तथा पुरातत्वीय स्थल और अवशेष नियम , 1959 का और संशोधन करने के लिए निम्नलिखित नियम बनाती है :-

1. ( 1 ) इन नियमों को प्राचीन संस्मारक तथा पुरातत्वीय स्थल और अवशेष ( संशोधन ) नियम , 2008 कहा जाएगा ।

1. ( 1 ) These rules may be called the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains (Amendment ) Rules , 2008.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette .

(i) citizens of India Rs . 10 per head. (ii)others Rs . 250 per head.

Foot Note : The principal ruels were published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary , Part II , Section 3 , Sub - section ( ii ) vide S.O. 2036, dated the 15th October , 1959 at pages 519- 525 and subsequently amended vide :-
(i) S.O. 3520 dated 20th November , 1966 GS.R. 112 (E) .-Whereas certain draft rules further to amend the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Rules , 1959, were published, as required by sub - section ( i ) of Section 38 of the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act , 1958 (24 of 1958), in the Gazette of India , Part - II , Section 3 , Sub- section ( i) , dated the 18th January , 2008 vide notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Culture , Archaeological Survey of India number G.S.R. 37 (E) , dated the 15th January, 2008 , inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby within fifteen days from the date on which copies of the Gazette containing the said notification were available to the public;
