का.आ. 414(अ). अंतर्राज्यिक नदी जल विवाद अधिनियम , 1956 ( 1956 का 33 ) की धारा 4 के अधीन अधिसूचना सं. का. आ. 45 ( अ ) द्वारा तारीख 2 अप्रैल , 2004 को कृष्णा जल विवाद अधिकरण का गठन अंतर्राज्यिक कृष्णा नदी और उसकी नदी घाटी से संबंधित जल विवादों के न्यायनिर्णयन के लिए किया गया था ;
और उक्त संशोधन के परिणामस्वरूप , उक्त अधिनियम की धारा 5 की उप - धारा ( 2 ) के अधीन कृष्णा जल विवाद अधिकरण से रिपोर्ट और विनिश्चय की प्रस्तुति तारीख 1 अप्रैल , 2007 को या उससे पूर्व अपेक्षित थी ;
और कृष्णा जल विवाद अधिकरण ने रिपोर्ट और विनिश्चय की प्रस्तुति की अवधि को तारीख 2 अप्रैल , 2007 से बढ़ाने का अनुरोध किया था ;
और केन्द्रीय सरकार ने अधिसूचना राजपत्र सं. का.आ. 400 ( अ ) दिनांक 20 मार्च, 2007 द्वारा रिपोर्ट और विनिश्चय की प्रस्तुति की अवधि को तारीख 2 अप्रैल , 2007 से एक वर्ष की और अवधि के लिए बढ़ाया था ;
और कृष्णा जल विवाद अधिकरण ने रिपोर्ट और विनिश्चय की प्रस्तुति की अवधि को पुनः बढ़ाने का अनुरोध किया है ;
केन्द्रीय सरकार उक्त अधिनियम की धारा 5 की उप- धारा ( 2 ) के परंतुक के अनुसार , अवधि को दो वर्ष से अनधिक की और अवधि के लिए विस्तारित कर सकेगी;
अतः , अब , केन्द्रीय सरकार उक्त अधिनियम की धारा 5 की उप - धारा ( 2 ) के परंतुक द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , कृष्णा जल विवाद अधिकरण द्वारा रिपोर्ट और विनिश्चय की प्रस्तुति की अवधि को तारीख 2 अप्रैल , 2008 से 6 मास की और अवधि के लिए बढ़ाती है ।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 3rd March , 2008
S.O. 414 ( E ). Whereas , the Krishna Water Disputes Tribunał was constituted on 2nd April , 2004 vide notification number S.O. 451 ( E ) under Section 4 of the Inter - state River Water Disputes Act, 1956 ( 33 of 1956 ) for the adjudication of the water disputes regarding Inter- state River Krishna , and river valley thereof;
And whereas the Krishna Water Disputes Tribunal was required to submit its report and decision under sub - section (2) of Section 5 of the said Act on or before 1st April , 2007:
And whereas Krishna Water Disputes Tribunal had requested to extend the period of submission of report and decision with effect from 2nd April , 2007:
And whereas the Central Government vide notification number S.O. 400( E ) dated the 20th March , 2007 had extended the period of submission of report and decision for a further period of one year with effect from 2nd April , 2007 :
And whereas Krishna Water Disputes Tribunal again requested to extend the period of submission of report and decision;
Andwhereas in accordance with proviso to sub - section ( 2 ) of Section 5 of the said Act, the Central Government may extend the period for a further period of not exceeding two years ;
Now, therefore , in exercise of power conferred by proviso to sub - section ( 2 ) of Section 5 of the said Act , the Central Government hereby extends the period of submission of report and decision by the Krishna Water Disputes Tribunal for a further period of six months with effect from 2nd April , 2008 .
