सा.का.नि. 164( अ ).- प्राचीन संस्मारक तथा पुरातत्वीय स्थल और अवशेष नियम , 1959 का और संशोधन करने के लिए संस्कृति मंत्रालय , भारतीय पुरातत्व सर्वेक्षण की अधिसूचना संख्या सा.का.नि. 725 ( अ ) दिनांक 20 नवम्बर, 2007 द्वारा भारत के राजपत्र , भाग II , खण्ड 3 , उप-खण्ड ( i ) दिनांक 21 नवम्बर , 2007 में प्राचीन संस्मारक तथा पुरातत्वीय स्थल और अवशेष अधिनियम, 1958 ( 1958 का 24 ) की धारा 38 की उप - धारा ( 1 ) की अपेक्षानुसार कतिपय नियमों का प्रारूप प्रकाशित किया गया था जिसमें ऐसे व्यक्तियों, जिनके उससे प्रभावित होने की संभावना है , से जिस तिथि को राजपत्र की प्रतियां, जिसमें उक्त अधिसूचना प्रकाशित हुई थी , के आम जनता को उपलब्ध होने की तिथि से 60 दिन की अवधि के भीतर आपत्तियां तथा सुझाव आमंत्रित किए गए थे । i
और उक्त राजपत्र आम जनता को 21 नवम्बर , 2007 को उपलब्ध करा दिया गया था;
और कोई आपत्ति और/या सुझाव प्राप्त नहीं हुए;
इसलिए, अब प्राचीन संस्मारक तथा पुरातत्वीय स्थल और अवशेष अधिनियम , 1958 ( 1958 का 24 ) की धारा 38 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए केन्द्रीय सरकार एतद्वारा प्राचीन संस्मारक तथा पुरातत्वीय स्थल और अवशेष नियम , 1959 का और संशोधन करने के लिए निम्नलिखित नियम बनाती है :-
नियम
1. ( 1 ) इन नियमों को प्राचीन संस्मारक तथा पुरातत्वीय स्थल और अवशेष ( संशोधन ) नियम , 2008 कहा जाएगा ।
(2) ये नियम सरकारी राजपत्र में उनके प्रकाशन की तारीख से प्रवृत्त होंगे ।
2. प्राचीन संस्मारक तथा पुरातत्वीय स्थल और अवशेष नियम , 1959 के, नियम 6 में, -
(i ) मद ( i ) के लिए खण्ड ( क) में निम्नलिखित प्रतिस्थापित किया जाता है, अर्थात्:-
" ( i ) भारत के नागरिक तथा सार्क ( बांग्लादेश , नेपाल, भूटान , श्री लंका, पाकिस्तान , मालदीव तथा अफगानिस्तान ) तथा बिम्सटेक देशों ( बांग्लादेश , नेपाल , भूटान , श्री लंका , थाईलैण्ड तथा म्यांमार) के पर्यटक 10 रु. प्रति व्यक्ति"

NOTIFICATION

G.S.R. 164 (E ).- Whereas certain draft rules further to amend the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Rules, 1959, were published , as required by sub - section ( 1) of Section 38 of the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1958 (24 of 1958), in the Gazette of India, Part - II , Section 3, Sub - section ( i ) , dated the 21stNovember , 2007 vide notification of the Government of India in the Ministry ofCulture , Archaeological Survey of India number G.S.R. 725 (E), dated the 20th November, 2007 , inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby within sixty days from the date on which copies of the Gazette containing the said notification were available to the public;
And whereas the said Gazette was made available to the public on the 21st November , 2007 ;
And whereas no objections and/ or suggestions were received;
Now, therefore, in exercise ofthe powers conferred by Section 38 of the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act , 1958 ( 24 of 1958 ) , the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the AncientMonuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Rules , 1959, namely :---
RULES
1. (1 ) These rules may be called the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains (Amendment ) Rules,2008 .
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette .
2. In the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Rules , 1959 in rule 6 , 3
