सा.का.नि. 781 ( अ ) -केन्द्रीय सरकार, सिक्का निर्माण अधिनियम , 1906 ( 1906 का 3 ) की धारा 7 के साथ पठित धारा 21 की उप- धारा ( 1 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, निम्नलिखित नियम बनाती है , अर्थात्:--
1. संक्षिप्त नाम और प्रारंभ इन नियमों का संक्षिप्त नाम " प्रथम स्वतंत्रता संग्राम " के स्मरणोत्सव के उपलक्ष्य में पांच रुपए के सिक्काका निर्माण नियम , 2008 है ।
2. थे राजपत्र में प्रकाशन की तारीख को प्रवृत्त होंगे ।
3. मानक वजन तथा अनुज्ञात उपचार अधिनियम की धारा 6 के उपबंधों के अधीन " प्रथम स्वतंत्रता संग्राम " के अवसर पर निर्मित किए गए 5 रु. अंकित मूल्य के सिक्कों का मानक वजन और ऐसे सिक्कों को बनाने में अनुज्ञात उपचार नीचे सारणी में विनिर्दिष्ट किए गए अनुसार होगा:-

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 11th November , 2008
G.S.R. 781 (E) . In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of Section 21 , read with Section 7 ofthe Coinage Act , 1906 (3 of 1906) , the Central Government hereby makes the following rules , namely:-
1. Short title and commencement . These rules may be called the Coinage of the Five Ruppes coined in commemoration of " The First War of Independence " Rules , 2008.
2. They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette .
3. Standard Weight and Remedy allowed. Standard weight and Remedy allowed on Rs . 5 denomination , coined under the provisions of Section 6 of the Act, to Commemorate the occasion of " The First War of Independence" shall be as specified in the Table below:-

Plus or minus 1 % for Chromium , that is to say, chromium could vary from 16% to 18 %.
Plus or minus 4%, that is to say, the weight could varyfrom 5.76 grams to 6.24 grams .
