S.O. 2644(E).-In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of Sub- section ( 1 ) read with Sub- section (3) ofSection 20 of the Consumer Protection Act , 1986 (68 of 1986) , the Central Government, on the recommendation of the Selection Committee , hereby appoints Mr. Justice Ranjeet Kumar Batta, Judge (Retd .) , Bombay High Court, aswhole-time Member ofthe National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission with effect from the forenoon ofthe 7th day of November, 2008 , for a period of five years , or until he attains the age of70 years, whichever is earlier , on the terms and conditions prescribed in the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 read with the Consumer Protection Rules , 1987 as amended from time to time.
का.आ. 2644( अ ) केंद्रीय सरकार, उपभोक्ता संरक्षण अधिनियम, 1986 ( 1986 का 68 ) की धारा 20 की उप - धारा (3 ) के साथ पठित उप- धारा ( 1 ) के खण्ड ( ख ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, चयन समिति की सिफारिश पर बाम्बे उच्च न्यायालय के न्यायाधीश ( सेवानिवृत्त ) न्यायमूर्ति श्री रणजीत कुमार बट्टा को 7 नवम्बर , 2008 के पूर्वाह्न से पाँच वर्ष की अवधि के लिए अथवा उनके 70 वर्ष की आयु को प्राप्त हो जाने तक , जो भी पहले हो , समय-समय पर यथासंशोधित उपभोक्ता संरक्षण नियम , 1987 के साथ पठित उपभोक्ता संरक्षण अधिनियम , 1986 में निर्धारित निबंधनों और शतर्तों पर राष्ट्रीय उपभोक्ता विवाद प्रतितोष आयोग के पूर्णकालिक सदस्यके पद पर नियुक्त करती है ।
