नई दिल्ली, 14 नवम्बर , 2008
का.आ. 2661 ( अ ). विशेष आर्थिक जोन अधिनियम, 2005 ( 2005 का 28 ) की धारा 55 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए केन्द्र सरकार विशेष आर्थिक जोन नियमावली , 2006 में संशोधन करने हेतु एतद्वारा आगे और निम्नलिखित नियम बनाती है, अर्थात्:-
1. (1 ) इन नियमों को विशेष आर्थिक जोन (संशोधन ) नियमावली , 2008 कहा जाएगा ।
(2) ये नियम सरकारी राजपत्र में प्रकाशन की तारीख को लागू होंगे ।
2. विशेष आर्थिक जोन नियमावली , 2006 के नियम 5 के उप- नियम (2 ) के परंतुक ( ख ) में,
(i ) पहले परंतुक के उपरांत निम्नलिखित परंतुक जोड़ा जाएगा , अर्थात्:
" किंन्तु यह और कि हस्तशिल्प हेतु अनन्य रूप से विशेष आर्थिक जोन की स्थापना का प्रस्तावना हो तो उसके लिए क्षेत्र दस हेक्टेयर अथवा उससे अधिक होगा । "
( ii ) दूसरे परंतुक में " किन्तु यह और " शब्द के स्थान पर " किन्तु यह भी " शब्द प्रतिस्थापित किए जाएंगे ।

टिप्पणी : प्रमुख नियम भारत के राजपत्र, असाधारण में दिनांक 10 फरवरी , 2006 की सं. सा.का.नि. 54 ( अ ) के तहत और तदुपरांत दिनांक 10 अगस्त , 2006 की अधिसूचना सं. सा.का.नि. 470 ( अ) के तहत तथा दिनांक 16 मार्च , 2007 की अधिसूचना सं. सा.का.नि. 393 ( अ ) एवं दिनांक 12 अक्तूबर, 2007 की अधिसूचना सं. सा.का.नि. 1744 ( अ ) के तहत प्रकाशित किए गए थे ।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 14th November, 2008
S.O. 2661 (E ) .-In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 55 of the Special Economic Zones Act , 2005 : (28 of2005) , the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Special Economic Zones Rules , 2006, namely:
1. (1 ) These rules may be called the Special Economic Zones (Amendment ) Rules , 2008 .
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in tthe Official Gazette.
2. Inthe Special Economic Zones Rules , 2006, in rule 5, in sub - rule (2) , in clause ( b ) ,--
(i) after the first proviso , the following proviso shall be inserted , namely :-
"provided further that in case a Special Economic Zone is proposed to be set up exclusively for handicrafts , the area shall be ten hectares or more : " ;
(ii) in the second proviso, for the words "provided further " , the words "provided also " shall be substituted.

Note : The principal rules were published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary vide number G.S.R. 54 (E) , dated the 10th day of February, 2006 and subsequently (i ) vide notification number G.S.R. 470 ( E ), dated the 10th day of August, 2006 and vide notification number G.S.R. 393 (E ), dated the 16th day of March , 2007 and vide Notification number G.S.R. 1744 (E) , dated the 12th day of October , 2007 .
