आ.अ. 172(अ).-लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम, 1950 (1950 का 43 ) की धारा 13 कक के अनुसरण में भारत निर्वाचन आयोग , राज्य सरकार के परामर्श से , पंजाब राज्य में प्रत्येक जिले के लिए जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारियों के पदनाम से संबंधित दिनांक 17 जून, 2008 की अपनी अधिसूचना सं. 508/पंजाब/2008 में , एतद्वारा निम्नलिखित संशोधन करता है , अर्थात्: -
1. उक्त अधिसूचना के साथ संलग्न सारणी के स्तम्भ 1 में , विद्यमान प्रविष्टि, " 7 - नवा शहर " के लिए प्रविष्टि" 7-शहीद भगत सिंह नगर " को प्रतिस्थापित किया जायेगा ।
2. उक्त अधिसूचना के साथ संलग्न सारणी के स्तम्भ 2 में, विद्यमान प्रविष्टि, " उपायुक्त, नवा शहर " के लिए प्रविष्टि " उपायुक्त, शहीद भगत सिंह नगर " को प्रतिस्थापित किया जायेगा

ELECTION COMMISSION OF INDIA NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 17th November , 2008
O. N. 172(E) . In pursuance ofSection 13AA ofthe Representation of the People Act, 1950 (43 of 1950 ) , the Election Commission of India in consultation with the State Government hereby makes the following amendment in its NotificationNo. 508/PB/2008 dated 17th June, 2008 relating to the designation of District Election Officers for each district, in the State of Punjab , namely :---
1. In column 1 of the Table appended to the said notification, for the existing entry, " 7 - Nawan Shahr " the entry "7- Shahid Bhagat Singh Nagar" shall be substituted.
2. Further , in Column 2 of the Table appended to the said notification, for the existing entry , " Deputy Commissioner , Nawan Shahr" the entry " Deputy Commissioner , Shahid Bhagat Singh Nagar" shall be substituted .
