वस्त्र मंत्रालय
से निम्नलिखित उद्देश्यों को प्राप्त करने के लिए सलाह देगा :-
( हथकरघा विकास आयुक्त का कार्यालय )
संकल्प
(i ) देश की कपड़े की आवश्यकता को अधिकाधिक हथकरघा क्षेत्र से पूरा करना;

( ii ) बुनकरों में बेरोजगार और अल्परोजगार को कम करने और उनके रहन-सहन के स्तर में सुधार लाने के लिए हथकरघा क्षेत्र को और अधिक प्रभावी बनाना;
(iii ) हथकरघा की शिल्प परम्परा को बनाए रखना और इसमें अधिक सुधार करना;
(iv) देश और विदेशों में हथकरघा वस्त्रों के विपणन में वृद्धि करने के लिए कार्य- योजना बनाना;
सं. 1/55/2000- डीसीएचएल/समन्वय/एआईएचबी.- भारत सरकार के संकल्प संख्या 1/55/2000 - डीसीएचएल/समन्वय/ एआईएचबी, दिनांक 30 जुलाई, 2008 , 27 अगस्त, 2008 , 2 सितम्बर , 2008 , 11 सितम्बर , 2008 , 16 सितम्बर , 2008 , 23 सितम्बर , 2008, 21अक्तूबर , 2008 और 4 नवम्बर , 2008 में आंशिक संशोधन करते हुए, निम्नलिखित व्यक्तियों को अखिल भारतीय हथकरघा बोर्ड में गैर- सरकारी सदस्यों के रूप में तत्काल प्रभाव से नियुक्त किया गया है
1. श्री धीरेन्द्र पांडे ,
(v) इस क्षेत्र के लिए विभिन्न राज्य सरकारों, केन्द्र शासित क्षेत्रों के विकासात्मक प्रयत्नों में समन्वय स्थापित करने के लिए कदम उठाना;
(vi ) समय- समय पर इस उद्योग के विकास में हुई प्रगति की समीक्षा करना ।

बोर्ड के उपर्युक्त सदस्य हथकरघा क्षेत्र के लिए समग्र विकास कार्यक्रम बनाने में सरकार को सलाह देंगे । उपर्युक्त सदस्यों की पदावधि बोर्ड की समयावधि के समवर्ती अर्थात् 30 जुलाई , 2008 से दो वर्ष की होगी ।

यह बोर्ड हथकरघा क्षेत्र के समाज- आर्थिक , सांस्कृतिक और कलात्मक स्वरूप को ध्यान में रखते हुए , इस क्षेत्र के समग्र विकास कार्यक्रम तैयार करने में सरकार को सलाह देगा । यह बोर्ड विशेष रूप

the Government regarding achievement of the following objectives:-
2008, 16th September , 2008 , 23rd September, 2008 , 21stOctober , 2008 and 4th November, 2008 , the following persons have been appointed as Non- Official Members in the All India Handloom Board with immediate effect :-
(i) to meet the clothing needs of the country progressively from the handloom sector;
(ii) to make handlooms an effective instrument of reducing unemployment and under employment and achieving higher standard of living for weavers;
1. Dr. Dhirendra Pandey, Chhatami, Gopiganj , Sant Ravidas Nagar, Bhadohi (Uttar Pradesh) .
(iii) to preserve and futher promote the craft heritage ofour handlooms ;
2. Shri Rajivratna Vora, 3, Rahul, 34, Walkeshwar Road, Mumbai-400006.
(iv) to devise strategies for expanding markets for handlooms within the country and abroad;
(v) to take steps for effective coordination of the developmental efforts of the various State Government/Union Territories in this sector; and The above newly appointed Members of the Board would advise the Government in the formulation of overall development programme in the Handloom Sector. The term ofOffice ofthe above Members will be concurrent with the term of the Board i.e. a period of two years from 30th July, 2008.
(vi) to review the progress of development from time totime.
