सा.का.नि. 897(अ) .केन्द्रीय सरकार , सिक्का निर्माण अधिनियम , 1906 ( 1906 का 3 ) की धारा 7 के साथ पठित धारा 21 की उप - धारा ( 2 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , निम्नलिखित नियम बनाती है , अर्थात्:-
1. संक्षिप्त नाम और प्रारम्भ :-( i ) इन नियमों का संक्षिप्त नाम " लुई ब्रेल जन्म द्विशताब्दी ( 1809-2009 ) " कास्मरणोत्सव मनाने के उपलक्ष्य में एक सौ रुपए और दो रुपए के सिक्कों का निर्माण नियम , 2008 है ।
( ii ) ये राजपत्र में प्रकाशन की तारीख को प्रवृत्त होंगे ।
2. मानक वजन तथा अनुज्ञात उपचार :-लुई ब्रेल की जन्म द्विशताब्दी का स्मरणोत्सव मनाने के उपलक्ष्य में अधिनियम की धारा 6 के उपबंधों के अधीन एक सौ रुपए और दो रुपए के अंकित मूल्य के सिक्कों का मानक वजन तथा ऐसे सिक्कों के बनाने में अनुज्ञात. उपचार नीचे सारणी में विनिर्दिष्ट अनुसार होगा :-

चांदी में 1/500वां कम या ज्यादा अर्थात् चांदी में प्रति 1000 में 498 से 502 तक का अंतर हो सकेगा ।
1/ 100 वां कम या ज्यादा अर्थात् वजन में 34.65 ग्राम से 35.05 ग्राम तक का अंतर हो सकेगा ।
5.62ग्राम
दो रुपए
तांबा और निकल में 1 / 100वां कम या ज्यादा अर्थात् निकल में 16 % से 18 % का अंतर हो सकता है ।
1 /25वां कम या ज्यादा अर्थात् वजन में 5.39 ग्राम से 6.24 ग्राम तक का अंतर हो सकता है ।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 30th December, 2008
G.S.R. 897(E) .-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section ( 1) of Section 21 , read with Section 7 ofthe Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules , namely:--
1. Short title and commencement : ( i) These rules may be called the coinage of the One Hundred Rupees and TwoRupees coined to commemorate the occasion of " Birth Bi - Centenary of Louis Braille ( 1809--2009)" Rules , 2008 .
(ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette .
2. Standard weight and remedy allowed :-Standard Weight and Remedy allowed on coins ofOne HundredRupees and Two Rupees denominations coined under the provisions of Section 6 of the Act , to commemorate the occasion ofBirth Bi -Centenary of Louis Braille and the remedy allowed in making ofsuch coins shall be as specified in the Table below:-
