सिक्के के इस भाग पर अशोक स्तंभ का सिंह शीर्ष होगा जिसके नीचे " सत्यमेव जयते " इबारत अंतर्लिखित होगी , उसकी ऊपरी बाईं परिधि पर हिन्दी में " भारत " शब्द और ऊपरी दाईं परिधि पर अंग्रेजी में " INDIA " शब्द होगा । परिधि पर 52 मनके होंगे ।

का.आ. 202(अ). केन्द्रीय सरकार, सिक्का निर्माण अधिनियम, 1906 ( 1906 का 3 ) की, जिसे इसमें इसके पश्चात् उक्त अधिनियम कहा गया है , धारा 6 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , अवधारित करती है , कि
(क) " अशोक स्तंभ " प्रसंग के साथ केन्द्रीय सरकार के प्राधिकार के अधीन जारी करने के लिए टकसाल में पांच रुपए अंकित मूल्य के सिक्के का निर्माण भी किया जाएगा;
सिक्के के इस भाग पर केन्द्र में अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अंकों में अंकित मूल्य" 5 " होगा और उसके नीचे अंग्रेजी में " RUPEES " शब्द होगा तथा अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अंकों में वर्ष होगा । सबसे ऊपर बाईं ओर हिन्दी में " रुपए" शब्द होगा तथा दाईं परिधि पर पत्ती की डिजाइन के साथ कमल का गुच्छा होगा । परिधि पर 52 मनके होंगे ।
सिरेशन : सिक्के के किनारे पर 100 सिरेशन होंगे ।
[फा. सं. 14/25/2007-सिक्का- II-पीटी ] (ख) उक्त अधिनियम की धारा 6 के उपबंधों के अनुसार निर्मित किए जाने वाले उपरोक्त अंकित मूल्य का सिक्कानिम्नलिखित विमाओं, डिजाइन और संरचना के अनुरूप होगा , अर्थात्:-

OBVERSE
(a) the coins of Five Rupees denomination with the theme "Ashoka Pillar" shall also be coined at the Mints for issue under the authority of the Central Government ;
(b) the coins of the Five Rupees denomination hereafter to be coined in accordance with the provisions of Section 6 of the said Act shall conform to the following dimension , design and composition, namely:
This face of the coin shall bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar with the Legend " सत्यमेव जयते" inscribed below, flanked on the left upper periphery with the word "भारत" in Hindi and on the right upper periphery flanked with the word " INDIA" in English . There will be 52 beads onthe periphery.

This face of the coin shall bear the denomination value " 5" in international numeral in the centre , below that shall be the word " RUPEES" in English and the year in the international numeral . On the top shall be the word "रुपये " inHindi flanked on the left and right periphery a bunch of Lotus with leaf design . There shall be 52 beads on the periphery.
