New Delhi , the 16th February , 2009 "निर्वाचनों का संचालन नियम , 1961 के नियम 84 के उप-नियम ( 1 ) के खंड (क) के साथ पठित लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम, 1951 की धारा 66 में अंतर्विष्ट उपबंधों के अनुसरण में, मैं घोषणा करता हूँ कि:-

का.आ. 495(अ).लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 ( 1951 का 43 ) की धारा 12 के अधीन जारी की गई अधिसूचना सं. का.आ. 345 (अ ) , तारीख 27 जनवरी , 2009 के अनुसरण में, जम्मू- कश्मीर राज्य की विधान सभा के निर्वाचित सदस्यों द्वारा राज्य सभा के सदस्य डा. फारूक अब्दुल्ला और श्री चौधरी मोहम्मद असलम , जो अपनी पदावधि के अवसान पर 29 नवम्बर, 2008 को निवृत्त हो गए हैं , स्थानों को भरने के प्रयोजन के लिए निर्वाचन कराए गए हैं;

S.O. 495 ( E ) .- Whereas election has been held, in pursuance of notification number S.O. 345 (E) , dated the 27th January, 2009 , issued under Section 12 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 (43 of 1951 ) , for the purpose of filling the seats of Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Shri Chowdhary Mohammad Aslam , Members of the Council of States elected by the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Jammu and Kashmir who retired on the 29th November , 2008 , on the expiration oftheir term of office;
Now, therefore, in pursuance of Section 71 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951 ) , the names of the members elected by the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of the State ofJammu and Kashmir are hereby notified for general information:
