सा.का.नि. 831 (अ ). राष्ट्रपति, संविधान के अनुच्छेद 309 के परंतुक द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , भारतीय आर्थिक सेवा नियम , 2008 का और संशोधन करने के लिए निम्नलिखित नियम बनाती हैं , अर्थात् :-
1. ( 1 ) इन नियमों का संक्षिप्त नाम भार आर्थिक सेवा (चौथा संशोधन ) नियम , 2009 है ।
(2 ) ये राजपत्र में प्रकाशन की तारीख को प्रवृत होंगे ।
2. भारतीय आर्थिक सेवा नियम, 2008 में,
( 1 ) अनुसूची 1 में , उच्चतर प्रशासनिक श्रेणी से संबंधित स्तंभ ( 2 ) में , " वेतन समूह 4: 37,400-67,000 रु. धन श्रेणी वेतन 12,000 रुपए" के स्थान पर, " 67,000 रु. ( वार्षिक वृद्धि@ 3 % ) 79,000 रु. " अक्षर , अंक कोष्ठक, शब्द और प्रतीक रखे जाएंगे । "
(2) अनुसूची 2 में,
( i ) स्तंभ (4 ) के शीर्षक के अधीन , " वेतन समूह -4 , 37,400-67,000 रु. धन श्रेणी वेतन; 12000 रु. " के स्थान पर" 67000 रु. ( वार्षिक वृद्धि @ 3 % ) -79000 रु. " अक्षर, अंक कोष्ठक, शब्द और प्रतीक रखे जाएंगे ;

( ii ) वित्त मंत्रालय से संबंधित क्रम सं. 1 में मद (क ) के सामने स्तंभ ( 5 ) के अधीन " 3 " अंक के स्थान पर " 4" अंक रखा जाएगा ।
( iii ) संचार और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय से संबंधित क्रम सं. 16 में , स्तंभ ( 5 ) के अधीन मद ( क) के सामने " 1 " अंक का लोप किया जाएगा ।
(3) अनुसूची 4 में उच्चतर प्रशासनिक श्रेणी से संबंधित स्तंभ (2) के अधीन क्रम सं. 2 के सामने " वेतन समूह 4; 37,400-67000 रु. धन श्रेणी वेतन; 12,000 रु" शब्द, अंक और अक्षर के स्थान पर ' 67000 रु. ( वार्षिक वृद्धि @ 3% )- 79000 रु. " अक्षर , अंक कोष्ठक शब्द और प्रतीक रखे जाएंगे ।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 18th November , 2009
G.S.R. 831 (E).-In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution , the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Indian Economic Service Rules, 2008 , namely :-
1. (1) These rules may be called the Indian Economic Service( Fourth Amendment) Rules , 2009 .
(2) They shall come into force on the date oftheir publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Indian Economic Service Rules , 2008-
( 1) In Schedule I, against Sl . No. 2, under column (2) , relating to the Higher Administrative Grade, for the words , figures and letters "Pay Band-4: Rs . 37,400-67,000 plus Grade Pay: Rs . 12,000 " , the letters , figures , brackets , words and symbols " Rs . 67000 (annual incre- ment @ 3 %)- Rs . 79,000 " shall be substituted .
(2) In Schedule II ,--
(i) under the heading in column (4) , for the words , figures and letters " Pay Band-4 : Rs . 37,400- 67,000 plus Grade Pay: Rs . 12,000 " , the letters, figures , brackets , words and symbols " Rs . 67000-(annual increment @ 3 %)- Rs . 79,000" shall be substituted ;

(ii) in Sl . No. I relating to Ministry of Finance , against item (a) , under column (5) , for the figure "3 " , the figure "4 " shall be substituted;
(iii) in Sl . No. 16 relating to Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, against item (a) , under column (5), the figure " 1 " shall be omitted .
(3) in Schedule IV , against Sl . No. 2, under column (2) , relating to the Higher AdministrativeGrade , for the words , figures and letters " Pay Band -4 : Rs . 37,400-67,000 plusGrade Pay: Rs . 12,000 " , the letters, fig- ures , brackets , words and symbols " Rs . 67,000-(annual increment @ 3 % )- Rs . 79,000 " shall be substituted .
