का.आ. 2949(अ). राष्ट्रपति ने संविधान के अनुछेच्द 80 के खण्ड ( 3 ) के साथ पठित खंड ( 1 ) के उप- खण्ड ( क) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए राज्य सभा के दो सदस्यों को , उस सदन में नामनिर्देशित उन सदस्यों के , जो अपनी पदावधि के अवसान पर निवृत्त हो गए हैं, स्थानों को भरने के लिए नामनिर्देशित किया है ;
अतः अब, लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम , 1951 ( 1951 का 43 ) की धारा 71 के अनुसरण में, राष्ट्रपति द्वारा नामनिर्देशित निम्नलिखित सदस्यों का नाम सर्वसाधारण की जानकारी के लिए अधिसूचित किया जाता है :-
1. डॉ. अशोक शेखर गांगुली 2. श्री एच. के. दुआ [फा. सं. एच-11024( 3) /2007 -वि. II ] एन. के. नम्पूतिरी , संयुक्त सचिव और विधायी परामर्शी

S.O. 2949 (E) .-Whereas the President, in exercise ofthe powers conferred by sub -clause (a) of clause ( 1 ) of article 80 of the Constitution of India, read with clause (3) ofthat article, has nominated two members to the Council ofStates to fill the seats of two nominated members in that House, who have retired on the expiration of their term of office;
Now, therefore, in pursuance of Section 71 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951 ) , the names of the following members nominated by the President are hereby notified for general information :-

2. Shri H. K. Dua
