का.आ. 2956(अ). संविधान के अनुच्छेद 243- ठ और 243- य ख द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, जारी की गई भारत सरकार , गृह मंत्रालय की दिनांक 23 अप्रैल , 1994 की अंधि- सूचनाओं सं. का.आ. 324( अ ) , का.आ. 325( अ ) , का.आ. 326( अ ) , का.आ. 327(अ ) तथा दिनांक 23 मई, 1994 की अधिसूचनाओं सं. का.आ. 386( अ) और 387 ( अ) के साथ पठित संविधान के अनुच्छेद 243 - झ और 243- म के अनुसरण में तथा अंडमान एवं निकोबार द्वीप समूह ( पंचायत ) विनियम , 1994 ( 1994 का 1 ) की धारा 186 , लक्षद्वीप पंचायत विनियम , 1994 ( 1994 का 4 ) की धारा 86, दादरा एवं नागर हवेली ग्राम पंचायत विनियम , 1965 ( 1965 का 3 ) की धारा 46क गोवा , दमण और दीव ग्राम पंचायत विनियम, 1962( 1962का 9 ) की धारा 45 क और अंडमान एवं निकोबार द्वीप समूह (नगरपालिका) विनियम, 1994 ( 1994 का 5 ) की धारा 72 और गोवा, दमण एवं दीव नगरपालिका अधिनियम , 1968 (1968 का 16) की धारा 143क द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, राष्ट्रपति, भारत सरकार , गृह मंत्रालय की दिनांक 21 जनवरी , 2009 की अधिसूचना सं. का. आ. 228 (अ ) ( जिसे इसमें इसके पश्चात् उक्त अधिसूचना कहा गया है ) में निम्नलिखित संशोधन करती हैं, अर्थात्:-
उक्तअधिसूचना में पैराग्राफ 2 में " नौ माह " शब्दों के स्थान पर " दस माह " शब्द प्रतिस्थापित किए जाएंगे ।

S.O. 2956(E).-In pursuance of articles 243-1 and 243-Y ofthe Constitution , read with the notifications ofthe Government of India in the Ministry of Home Affairs numbers S.O. 324(E) , S.O. 325( E) , S.O. 326(E ), S.O. 327 (E) , all dated the 23rd April , 1994 and S.O. 386(E) and 387(E) dated the 23rd May, 1994, issued in exercise of the powers conferredby articles 243 L and 243ZB of the Constitution, and in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 186 of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands ( Panchayats) Regulation , 1994 ( 1 of 1994) , Section 86 of the Lakshadweep Panchayats Regulations, 1994 (4 of 1994) , Section 46A of the Dadra and Nagar Haveli Village Panchayats Regulation , 1965 (3 of 1965 ) , section 45A of the Goa, Daman and Diu Village Panchayats Regulation, 1962 (9 of 1962) and Section 72 of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands ( Municipal ) Regulation , 1994 (5 of 1994) and Section 143A of the Goa, Daman and Diu Municipalities Act , 1968 ( 16 of 1968) , the President is pleased to make following amendment in the notification of the Government of India, Ministry ofHome Affairs S.O. 228 (E) , dated 21st January, 2009 (hereinafter referred to as the said notification) , namely :-
In the said notification, in paragraph 2, for the words " nine months" , the words " ten months " shall be substituted.
