'MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS
NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 4th December, 2009
s.o. 31 i(s).— In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of section 3 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government hereby authorises the District Magistrate & Collector, Paschim Medinipur as the Competent Authority to perform the functions of such authorities under the said Act with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, in respect of the stretch of land Km. 53.410 to Km. 119.275 of National Highway No. - 60 for building (widening / Six-laning, etc.), maintenance, management- and operation in the State of West Bengal as specified in schedule given below:
