The following notification made by the President on the 5th December, 2009 is published for general information :

अधिसूचना
का.आ. 3157(अ)-राष्ट्रपति, संविधान के अनुच्छेद 371 च के खंड ( ढ ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , तत्काल प्रभाव से अधिसूचना संख्यांक का.आ. 778( अ) , तारीख 8 दिसम्बर, 1976 का, जो भारत के राजपत्र , असाधारण, भाग II, खण्ड 3 , उप -खण्ड ( ii) में प्रकाशित की गई थी , जिसमें राज्य पुनर्गठन अधिनियम , 1956 (1956 का 37) का विस्तार सिक्किम राज्य को किया गया था, उन बातों के सिवाय जिन्हें ऐसे विखंडन से पूर्व किया गया है या करने का लोप किया गया है , राज्य पुनर्गठन अधिनियम , 1956 में निम्नलिखित और उपांतरणों सहित विखंडन करती हैं , अर्थात्-
S.O. 3157(E ) . In exercise of powers conferred by clause(n) ofArticle 371F of the Constitution , the President hereby rescinds, with immediate effect, the notification number S.O. 778 (E) , dated 8th December , 1976 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, sub- section ( ii ) extending the States Reorganisation Act, 1956 (37 of 1956) to the State of Sikkim except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such rescission, with the following further modifications in the States ReorganisationAct, 1956, namely:-
Inthe States Reorganisation Act , 1956, as modified vide notification number S.O. 778 (E) , dated 8th December , 1976, in Section 15, in clause (c), for the words " Orissa and Sikkim", the words " and Orissa " shall be substituted.
अधिसूचना संख्यांक 778 ( अ ) , तारीख 8 दिसम्बर, 1976 द्वारा यथाउपांतरित राज्य पुनर्गठन अधिनियम , 1956 की धारा 15 के खंड (ग ) में" उड़ीसा और सिक्किम " शब्दों के स्थान पर " और उड़ीसा " शब्द रखे जाएंगे ।
