NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 14th December, 2009

S.O. 3193(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of Section 3 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government hereby authorises the District Magistrate, Howrah as the competent authority to perform the functions of such authority under the said Act with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, in respect of the stretch of land km. 17.60 to km. 72.00 of the National Highway No. 6 for building (widening/ Six-Ianing, etc.), maintenance, management and operation in the State of West Bengal as specified in Schedule given below :
