S.O. 3315(E).— Whereas the Indian Boilers Act, 1923 (5 of 1923) has been further amended in 2007 as the Indian Boilers (Amendment) Act, 2007 (49 of 2007) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) and received the assent of the President on the 12th December, 2007;

And whereas, sub-section (2) of Section 1 of said Act provides that the provisions of the Act shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in Official Gazette, appoint; and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of the said Act;

hereby appoints the 1st day of August, 2010 as the date on which sub-section (2) of Section 3 of the said Act shall And whereas, the Central Boilers Board has decided to recommend to the Central Government that sub-section (2) of Section 3 of the said Act which has been brought into force with effect from the 27th day of May, 2008 by the Central Government may be denotified for a period up to the 31st day of July, 2010 ;
