2. प्राचीन संस्मारक तथा पुरातत्त्वीय स्थल और अवशेष अधिनियम, 1959 में नियम 8 , खंड ( घ ) में " पुरातत्त्वीय अधिकारी " शब्दों के पश्चात् " या अपर महानिदेशक , पर्यटन विभाग , पर्यटन मंत्रालय , भारत सरकार का पर्यटक दौरा दर्शाने की सीमा तक " शब्द शामिल किए जाएंगे ।

सा.का.नि. 27(अ). प्राचीन संस्मारक तथा पुरातत्त्वीय स्थल और अवशेष अधिनियम , 1959 का और संशोधन करने के लिए केन्द्र सरकार प्राचीन संस्मारक तथा पुरातत्त्वीय स्थल और अवशेष अधिनियम , 1958 ( 1958 का 24 ) की धारा 38 के खंड ( ग ) , उप - धारा ( 2 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए कतिपय नियम बनाने का प्रस्ताव करती है जिसका निम्नलिखित प्रारूप उक्त अधिनियम की धारा 38 की उप- धारा ( 1 ) की अपेक्षानुसार एतद्वारा प्रकाशित किया जाता है ताकि सभी व्यक्तियों , जिनके उससे प्रभावित होने की सम्भावना है को सूचित किया जा सके तथा एतद्वारा नोटिस दिया जाता है कि इस अधिसूचना को समाहित करने वाले शासकीय राजपत्र के प्रकाशन की तारीख को अथवा उसके 60 दिनों की अवधि की समाप्ति के पश्चात् उक्त प्रारूप संशोधन नियमों पर विचार किया जाएगा ।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 11th January, 2010
G.S.R. 27 (E ) .-The following draft of certain rules further to amend the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Rules , 1959 , which the Central Government proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by clause ( c) sub - section (2 ) of Section 38 of the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1958 (24 of 1958 ) , is hereby published, as required by sub - section ( 1 ) of Section 38 of the said Act for the information of all persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft amendment rules will be taken into consideration on or after the expiry of a period of sixty days from the date of publication of the Official Gazette containing this notification.
Any objection or suggestion which may be received from any person in respect ofthe said draft rules before the expiry of sixty days from the date of publication of this notification will be considered by the Central Government .
Objections or suggestions may be sent to the Director General , Archaeological Survey of India , Ministry of Culture, Janpath , New Delhi .
DRAFT RULES
1. (a) These rules may be called the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains (Amendment ) Rules , 2009.
(b) They shall come into force on the date of their final publication in the Official Gazette.
[PART II-SEC. 3 (1 ) ]
2. In the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Rules , 1959 in rule 8, clause (d) , after the words " archaeological officer " , the words " or the Additional Director General, Department of Tourism , Ministry of Tourism , Government of India to the extent of showing a visitor round " shall be inserted .
