. SoOo16~(E)o-=-Whereas,it 'appear's to the Central Government that it is necessary in the public interest to lay Barmer-Salaya pipeline via Viramgam for the evacuation of crude oil from Barmer (Rajasthan) by Cairn India Limited and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation limited(ONGC).
And whereas, it appears to the Central Government that for the purpose of laying such pipeline, it is necessary to acquire the right of user in land under which the said pipeline is proposed to be laid and which is described in the Schedule annexed hereto;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Petroleum and Minerals Pipelines (Acquisition of Right of User in Land) Act, 1962 (50 of 1962), the Central Government hereby declares its intention to acquire the right of user ther~in;

Any person interested in the land described in the saj(fschedule~may, within twenty- one days from the date on which copies of the Gazette of India containing this notification are made available to the general public, object in writing to the acquisition of the right of user therein for laying of the pipeline under the land to Shri F.A.Babi, Competent Authority, Barmer-Salaya Pipeline Project, Plot NO.1146/1, Sector-2A, Gandhinagar, Pin 382009 (Gujarat).
