NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 4th November, 2010

G.S.R. 885(E).—The following draft of certain rules further to amend the Motor Vehicles (All India Permit ;Tor Tourist Transport Operators) Rules, 1993, which the Central Government proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (14) of Section 88 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (59 of 1988), is hereby published as required by sub-section (1)of Section 212 of the said Act for information of all persons likely to be affected thereby; and notice is hereby given that the said draft rules shall betaken into consideration after the expiry of a period of forty-five days from the date on which the copies of this notification as published in the Gazette of India, are made available to the public.

Any objection or suggestion which may be received from any person with respect to the said draft rules before

the expiry of theaforesaid period shall be considered by the Central Government.

Objection and suggestion, if any, may be sent to the Joint Secretary (Transport), Ministry of Road Transport

and Highways, Transport Bhawan, 1, Parliament Street, New Delhi-110001.

Draft Rules

These rules may be called the Motor Vehicles (All India Permit for Tourist Transport Operators) Amendment

Rules, 2010. They shall come into force on the date of their fmal publication in the Official Gazette.

(3) In the Motor Vehicles (All India Permit for Tourist Transport Operators) Rules, 1993, in rule 16, for the brackets, words, letters and figures "(Bharat Stage-III) specified in sub-rule (14) of rule 115" the brackets, words, letters and figures "(Bharat Stage-1V) specified in sub-rule (15) of rule 115" shall be substituted.
