सा.का.नि. 887(अ).-केन्द्रीय सरकार, भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो अधिनियम , 1986 ( 1986 का 63 ) की धारा 37 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो नियम , 1987 में और संशोधन करते हुए, निम्नलिखित नियम बनाती है, अर्थात् :-
( 1 ) इन नियमों का संक्षिप्त नाम भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो ( संशोधन ) नियम , 2010 है ।
(2) ये राजपत्र में प्रकाशन की तारीख से प्रवृत्त होंगे ।
2. भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो नियम , 1987 ( इसके पश्चात् उक्त नियम कहा गया है ) में , नियम 13 में खण्ड ( चक ) के स्थान पर निम्नलिखित रखा जाएगा , अर्थात्:-
' (चक ) वस्तुओं का स्वैच्छिक अथवा अनिवार्य आधार पर सुंगत भारतीय मानक से अनुरूपता की स्वयं घोषणा के लिए रजिस्ट्रीकरण से संबंधित गतिविधियों का प्रतिपादन , कार्यान्वयन और समन्वय , जो लोकहित में समीचीन समझा जाए और ब्यूरो से परामर्श के पश्चात् केन्द्रीय सरकार द्वारा एक आदेश के जरिए अधिसूचित किया जाए ' ।
3. उक्त नियमों में, नियम 16ख के उप - नियम ( 3 ) के पश्चात् निम्नलिखित अंतःस्थापित किया जाएगा , अर्थात्:-
' परन्तु यह कि इस प्रकार प्रस्तुत की गई परीक्षण रिपोर्ट ब्यूरो को आवेदन प्रस्तुत करने की तारीख से 90 दिनों की अवधि के पश्चात् नहीं होगी ' ।
4. उक्त नियमों के नियम 16ड में ' निलम्बन का प्रभाव ' शब्दों के स्थान पर ' निलम्बन अथवा निरस्तीकरण का प्रभाव ' शब्द रखे जाएंगे ।

NOTIFICATION

GS.R. 887 (E) . In exercise of powers conferred by Section 37 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 1986 ( 63 of 1986) , the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Bureau of Indian Standards Rules, 1987, namely:
1. (1 ) These rules may be called the Bureau of Indian Standards (Amendment ) Rules , 2010 .
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette .
2. In the Bureau of Indian Standards Rules , 1987 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules) , in rule 13 , for clause (fa), the following shall be substituted, namely :--
"(fa) formulate , implement and coordinate activities relating to registration for self declaration of conformity to the relevant Indian Standard on voluntary or compulsory basis , of articles as may be considered expedient in public interest and so notified through an order by the Central Government after consulting the Bureau " .
3. In the said rules , in rule 16B , after sub- rule (3 ) , the following shall be inserted , namely
"Provided that the test report so furnished shall not be beyond the period of ninety days as on the date of submission of application with Bureau".
4. In the said rules , in rule 16M, for the words " Effect of suspension " , the words " Effect of suspension or cancellation " shall be substituted .
