Central Government superseded the said Board for a period of one year, vide the notification of the Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Surface Transport number S.O. 204(E), dated the 25th February, 1994 and during the period of supersession, the powers and functions of the said Board were vested in the Chairman, Mumbai Port Trust
