(आय-कर)
का.आ. 2045(अ).-केन्द्रीय सरकार , आय- कर अधिनियम, 1961 ( 1961 का 43 ) की धारा 10 के खंड (45 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , उक्त खंड के प्रयोजनों के लिए निम्नलिखित भत्तों और परिलब्धियों को अधिसूचित करती है , अर्थात्:-
( 1 ) संघ लोक सेवा आयोग के सेवारत अध्यक्ष और सदस्यों की दशा में,-
( i ) किराया मुक्त शासकीय निवास का मूल्य;
(ii ) वाहन सुविधा जिसके अंतर्गत परिवहन भत्ते भी हैं का मूल्य;
(iii ) सत्कार भत्ता;
( iv) संघ लोक सेवा आयोग के सेवारत अध्यक्ष या सदस्य और उनके कुटुंब के सदस्यों को उपलब्ध छुट्टी यात्रा रियायत का मूल्य।
(2) संघ लोक सेवा आयोग के सेवानिवृत्त अध्यक्ष और सेवानिवृत्त सदस्यों की दशा में,-
( i ) किसी अर्दली की सेवा और संविदा पर सचिवीय सहायता के मद्दे किए गए व्ययों को अदा करने के लिए अधिकतम प्रतिमास 14,000 रुपए की राशि;
(ii ) खर्चा दिए बिना आवासीय फोन की लागत और प्रतिमाख 1,500 रुपए की सीमा तक मुफ्त काल की सुविधा का मूल्य (टेलीफोन प्राधिकारियों द्वारा अनुज्ञात प्रतिमाह मुफ्त काल की संख्या से अधिक ) ।
2. यह अधिसूचना भूतलक्षी प्रभाव 1 अप्रैल , 2008 से प्रवृत्त होगी।

S.O. 2045(E). In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (45) of Section 10 of the Income- tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961 ) , the Central Government hereby notifies the following allowances and perquisites for the purposes of the said clause, namely:-
(1) in case of serving Chairman and members ofUnion Public Service Commission,-
(i) the value of rent free official residence ;
(ii) the value of conveyance facilities including transport allowance ;
(iii) the sumptuary allowance;
(iv) the value of leave travel concession provided to a serving Chairman or member of the Union Public Service Commission and members of his family.
(2) in case ofthe retired Chairman and retired members of the Union Public Service Commission,- (1) a sum ofmaximum Rs . 14,000 per month for defraying the service of an orderly and for meeting expenses incurred towards secretarial assistance on contract basis ;
(ii) the value of a residential telephone free of cost and the number of free calls to the extent of Rs . 1,500 per month (over and above the number of free calls per month allowed by the telephone authorities ) .
2. This notification shall come into force retrospectively w.e.f. ist Day ofApril , 2008 .
