The following Act of Parliament received the assent of the President on the 8th September, 2011 , and is hereby published for general information:-
THE INDIAN MEDICAL COUNCIL (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2011
(No. 13 OF 2011)

AnAct further to amend the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 .
BE it enacted by Parliament in the Sixty - second Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
1. (1) This Act may be called the Indian Medical Council ( Amendment) Act, 2011 . Short title and commence- ment.
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 10th day ofMay, 2011 .
2. In section 3A ofthe Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act) , in sub - section (2) , for the words " one year " , the words "two years " shall be substituted.

3. (1) The Indian Medical Council ( Amendment) Ordinance , 2011 , is hereby repealed. Ord . 1 of 2011.
Repcal and saving.
Ord. 1 of 2011 .
(2)Notwithstanding the repeal of the Indian Medical Council (Amendment) Ordinance, 2011 , anything done or any action taken under the principal Act , as amendedby the said Ordinance , shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the principal Act , as amended by this Act.
