सा.का.नि. 778(अ). केन्द्रीय सरकार, खान और खनिज (विकास और विनियमन ) अधिनियम , 1957 ( 1957 का 67) की धारा 17क के उप- खण्ड ( 1 क ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , कर्नाटक राज्य सरकार से परामर्श करने के पश्चात् पूर्वेक्षण अनुज्ञप्ति या खान पट्टा के अधीन पहले से सम्मिलित क्षेत्रों को छोड़कर, पूर्वोत्तर ब्लॉक रेंज , जोगा गांव , संदूर तालुक, कर्नाटक राज्य के बेल्लारी जिले में लौह अयस्क भंडारों में 140.00 हेक्टेयर को कवर करने वाले क्षेत्र को , केन्द्रीय सरकार के स्वामित्व तथा नियंत्रण वाले सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र उपक्रम , भारतीय स्टील प्राधिकरण लिमिटेड के अधीन विश्वैश्वरैया लोह और इस्पात संयंत्र , के माध्यम से पूर्वेक्षण या खनन कार्यों के लिए 20 वर्षों के लिए आरक्षित करती है तथा यह घोषणा करती है कि ऐसे आरक्षित क्षेत्र की सीमा के भीतर और नीचे विनिर्दिष्ट ब्यौरे के अनुसार खनिज के लिए कोई पूर्वेक्षण अनुज्ञप्ति या खनन पट्टा स्वीकृत नहीं किया जाएगा अर्थात्:--- :

GS.R. 778(E) .-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub -section ( IA) of Section 17A of the Mines and Minerals ( Development and Regulation) Act, 1957 (67 of 1957) , the Central Government, after consultation with the State Government of Karnataka, reserves for twenty years for undertaking prospecting or mining operations through. the Visvesvaraya Iron and Steel Plant under Steel Authority of India Limited, a public sector undertaking owned and controlled by the Central Government , in the iron ore deposits covering an area of 140.00 hectares in North Eastern Block Range, Joga Village , Sandur Taluk, Bellary District of the State of Karnataka, except the areas already heldunderprospecting licence or mining lease and declares that no prospecting licence or mining lease shall be granted within the boundary of such reserved area and for the mineral as per details specified below, namely :- District Bellary
Area 140.00 hectares of North Eastern Block Range , Joga Village, Sandur Taluk, Bellary District of the State of Karnataka of Toposheet Number 57A/ 12 and A/ 8 . Area demarcated by Northing and Easting
