सा.का.नि. 779(अ). केन्द्रीय सरकार, जीवन बीमा निगम अधिनियम , 1956 ( 1956 का 31 ) की धारा 48 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , जीवन बीमा निगम , वर्ग 3 और वर्ग 4 कर्मचारी ( प्रोन्नति ) नियम , 1987 का और संशोधन करने के लिए निम्नलिखित नियम बनाती है , अर्थात्
1. ( 1 ) इन नियमों का संक्षिप्त नाम भारतीय जीवन बीमा निगम, वर्ग 3 और वर्ग 4 कर्मचारी ( प्रोन्नति ) संशोधन नियम, 2011 है ।
(2 ) ये उनके राजपत्र में प्रकाशन की तारीख को प्रवृत्त होंगे ।
2. भारतीय जीवन बीमा निगम , वर्ग 3 और वर्ग 4 कर्मचारी ( प्रोन्नति ) नियम, 1987 की अनुसूची में क्रम सं. ( 1 ) के सामने , स्तम्भ (4) के अधीन सहायक प्रशासनिक अधिकारी के संवर्ग में प्रोन्नति के लिए मद ( ख ) में पात्रता से संबंधित शर्तों के स्थान पर निम्नलिखित मद रखी जाएगी , अर्थात्
" (ख) सहायकों के वेतमान में पांच वर्ष की नियमित सेवा या उच्चतर और अधिकतम आयु 45 वर्ष के साथ मैट्रिकुलेशन/उच्चतर माध्यमिक प्रमाण- पत्र की शैक्षिक अर्हताएं और फेडरेशन ऑफ इंश्युरेंस इंस्टीट्यूट, मुम्बई की फैलोशिप या इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ एक्चुरीज लंदन या एक्चुरिअल सोसाइटी ऑफ इंडिया के पांच विषय और प्रोन्नति परीक्षण उत्तीर्ण किया हो । " ।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the21st October , 2011
GS.R. 779(E) . In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 48 of the Life Insurance Corporation Act , 1956 (31 of1956), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Life Insurance Corporation of India, Class III and Class IV Employees ( Promotion) Rules, 1987 , namely:----
1. ( 1 ) These rules may be called the Life Insurance Corporation of India, Class III and Class IV Employees (Promotion) Amendment Rules , 2011 .
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Life Insurance Corporation of India, Class III and Class IV Employees (Promotion) Rules , 1987 , in the Schedule , against serial number ( 1 ) , for Promotion to the Cadre of Assistant Administrative Officer under Column (4) relating to " Conditions of eligibility" for item (b) , the following item shall be substituted , namely :--
"(b) 5 years ' regular service in the scale of Assistants or higher and maximum age 45 years with academic qualifications of Matriculation/Higher Secondary Certificate and technical qualification Fellowship of Federation of Insurance Institute , Mumbai or 5 subjects of Institute of Actuaries , London or Actuarial Society of India and a pass in Promotion Test" .

Note : The principal rules were published vide notification No.G.S.R. 824 ( E) , dated the 25th September, 1987 and subsequently amended vide No. G.S.R. 462(E), dated the 30th April , 1990 , No. G.S.R. 229 (E) , dated the 23rdApril , 1991 , No. GS.R. 226(E), dated the 22ndApril , 1997 and No. GS.R. 833( E), dated the 30th December, 1999.
