सरकार को 5 अगस्त, 2012 तक भेज सकेगा , आगे और बढ़ाती है और उस प्रयोजन के लिए भारत सरकार के जल संसाधन मंत्रालय की अधिसूचना संख्यांक का.आ. 905 ( अ) , तारीख 5 अगस्त, 2003 में निम्नलिखित और संशोधन करती है , अर्थात्
उक्त अधिसूचना के अंतिम पैरा में, " 5 फरवरी , 2012 तक " शब्दों और अंकों के स्थान पर " 5 अगस्त, 2012 तक " शब्द और अंक रखे जाएंगे ।

ध्रुव विजय सिंह, सचिव का.आ. 216 ( अ ) केन्द्रीय सरकार, ने अंतर्राज्यिक जल विवाद अधिनियम , 1956 ( 1956 का 33 ) की धारा 14 की उप- धारा ( 1 ) और उप- धारा ( 2 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , भारत सरकार के जल संसाधन मंत्रालय की अधिसूचना संख्यांक का.आ. 169 ( अ ) , तारीख 2 अप्रैल , 1986 द्वारा उसमें विनिर्दिष्ट पंजाब समझौते के कतिपय विषयों के सत्यापन और न्यायनिर्णयन के लिए, रावी और ब्यास जल अधिकरण का गठन किया था , और उक्त अधिकरण ने अपनी रिपोर्ट 30 जनवरी , 1987 को केन्द्रीय सरकार को भेज दी थी;
और केन्द्रीय सरकार ने , उक्त अधिनियम की धारा 5 की उप - धारा ( 3 ) के निबंधनों के अनुसार उक्त अधिकरण को , पूर्वोक्त रिपोर्ट पर स्पष्टीकरण और मार्गदर्शन के लिए 19 अगस्त, 1987 को और निर्देश किए थे;
और केन्द्रीय सरकार ने, उसकी आर्गे की रिपोर्ट को पूरा करने में उक्त अधिकरण द्वारा किए जाने वाले वृहत कार्य को ध्यान में रखते हुए , समय - समय पर उक्त रिपोर्ट देने की अवधि को 5 फरवरी , 2012 तक बढ़ा दिया था;
और केन्द्रीय सरकार , उक्त अधिकरण द्वारा यथाउल्लिखित अंतर्वलित कार्य की अत्यावश्यकताओं को ध्यान में रखते हुए, उक्त अवधि को 5 फरवरी , 2012 के पश्चात् और छह मास के लिए बढ़ाना आवश्यक समझती है;

अतः , अब , केन्द्रीय सरकार , अंतर्राज्यिक नदी जल विवाद अधिनियम, 1956 की धारा 5 की उप- धारा ( 3 ) के परंतुक द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , उस अवधि को , जिसके भीतर अधिकरण इस प्रकार किए गए निर्देशों पर अपनी रिपोर्ट केन्द्रीय 347 G1/2012 2

MINISTRY OF WATER RESOURCES NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 3rd February, 2012
S.O. 216 (E).-Whereas the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section ( 1 ) and sub- section (2) of Section 14 of the Inter- State River Water Disputes Act , 1956 (33 of 1956) , constituted the Ravi and Beas Waters Tribunal for verification and adjudication of certain matters of the Punjab Settlement, referred therein, vide notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Water Resources , number S.O. 169(E) , dated the 2nd April, 1986, and the said Tribunal forwarded its report to the Central Government on 30th January, 1987;
And whereas , further references have been made by the Central Government to the said Tribunal on 19th August , 1987 , requiring explanation and guidance on the reportaforesaid, in terms of sub- section (3 ) of Section 5 ofthe said Act;
And whereas , considering the enormous exercise undertaken by the said Tribunal in completing its further report, the Central Government extended from time to time the period of making the said report , till the 5th February, 2012;
And whereas , the Central Government , keeping in view the exigencies of the work involved , as pointed out by the said Tribunal , considers it necessary to extend the said period for another six months after the 5th February, 2012;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to sub- section ( 3 ) of Section 5 of the Inter-

State River Water Disputes Act , 1956 , the Central Government hereby further extends the period , within which the said Tribunal may forward its report on the references so made, to the Central Government till the 5th day of August , 2012 , and for that purpose, makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Water Resources , number S.O. 905 (E), dated the 5th August , 2003 , namely:---
Inthe said notification, in the last paragraph , for the words , figures and letters " till the 5th day of February, 2012 " the words , figures and letters " till the 5thday ofAugust , 2012" shall be substituted.
