सा.का.नि. 44(अ).-केन्द्रीय सरकार , उप- राष्ट्रपति पेंशन अधिनियम, 1997 ( 1997 का 30 ) की धारा 5 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए उप- राष्ट्रपति पेंशन, आवास और अन्य सुविधाएं नियम, 1999 का और संशोधन करने के लिए निम्नलिखित नियम बनाती है, अर्थात्:--
G.S.R. 44 (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 ofthe Vice- President's Pension Act, 1997 (30 of 1997) , the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Vice- President's Pension, Housing and Other Facilities Rules , 1999, namely:--
1. ( 1 ) इन नियमों का संक्षिप्त नाम उप - राष्ट्रपति पेंशन , आवास और अन्य सुविधाएं ( संशोधन ) नियम, 2013 है ।
1. (1 ) These rules may be called the Vice- President's Pension, Housing and Other Facilities (Amendment) Rules , 2013.
(2) ये राजपत्र में प्रकाशन की तारीख को प्रवृत्त होंगे ।
(2)They shall come into force on the date oftheir publication in the Official Gazette.
2. उप- रोष्ट्रपति पेंशन, आवास और अन्य सुविधाएं नियम, 1999 के नियम 4 के उप- नियम ( 1 ) के खंड (ङ) में " किसी उप मंत्री को उपलब्ध कराए गए " शब्दों के स्थान पर " किसी मंत्रिमंडल सदस्य को आबंटित किए गए " शब्द रखे जाएंगे ।
2.Inthe Vice-President's Pension, Housing and Other Facilities Rules, 1999, in rule 4, in sub-rule ( 1 ) , in clause (e), for the words " entitled to a Deputy Minister ", the words " allotted to a Cabinet Minister" shall be substituted.

Note : The Vice- President's Pension , Housing and Other FacilitiesRules, 1999 were published in the Gazette ofIndia, Extraordinary, Part II , Section 3 , Sub- section (i) vide number G.S.R. 228 (E), dated the 30th March, 1999 and were last amended vide notification number G.S.R. 89 (E ), dated the 10th February, 2009.
