अन्तरराज्यिक नदी जल विवाद अधिनियम, 1956 (1956 का 33) (जिसे इसमें इसके पश्चात् ) की धारा 4 के अधीन भारत के राजपत्र, असाधारण, भाग II, खंड 3, उप अधिसूचना संंख्यांक का.आ. 2786(अ), तारीख 16 नवम्बर, 2010 द्वारा तारीख 16
का 33) (जिसे इसमें इसके पश्चात््् उक्त , खंड 3, उप-खंड (ii) में तारीख 16 नवम्बर, 2010 द्वारा तारीख 16 नवम्बर, 2010 को महादायी जल ) का गठन अन्तरराज्यिक महादायी नदी और उसकी नदी पश्चात् उक्त अधिकरण कहा गया है) का गठन अन्तरराज्यिक महादायी नदी और उसकी नदी अधिनियम कहा गया है) की धारा 4 के अधीन भ् 2010 को प्रकाशित अधिसूचना संंख्यांक का विवाद अधिकरण (जिसे इसमें इसके पश्चात् उक्त अधिकरण कहा गया है घाटी से संबंधित जल विवादों के न्यायनिर्णयन के लिए किया गया था; घाटी से संबंधित जल विवादों के न्यायनिर्णयन के लिए किया गया था
और, उक्त अधिनियम की धारा 5 की उप-धारा (2) केे अधीन उक्त अधिकरण से अपनी रिपोर्ट और विनिश्चय को तीन और, उक्त अधिनियम की धारा 5 की उप
धकरण से अपनी रिपोर्ट और विनिश्चय को तीन वर्ष की अवधि के भीतर अर्थात्् तारीख 15 नवम्बर
नवम्बर, 2013 को या उससे पूर्व देना अपेक्षित है;
और अपरिहार्य कारणों से उक्त अधिकरण अपनी रिपोर्ट उक्त तीन वर्ष की उक्त अवधि के और अपरिहार्य कारणों से उक्त अधिकरण अपनी
और उक्त अधिकरण ने केन्द्रीय सरकार से रिपोर्ट और विनिश्चय
ाकरण ने केन्द्रीय सरकार से रिपोर्ट और विनिश्चय प्रस्तुत करने के लिए अवधि को बढ़ाने का अनुरोध किया है
अवधि के भीतर प्रस्तुत नहीं कर सका है बढ़ाने का अनुरोध किया है;

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 8th November, 2013
S.O. 3404(E).—Whereas, the Mahadayi Water Disputes Tribunal (hereinafter referred to as the said Tribunal) was constituted on the 16th November, 2010 vide notification number S.O. 2786(E), dated the 16th November, 2010 published in Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) of the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, dated the 16th November, 2010, under Section 4 of the Inter-State River Water Disputes Act, 1956 (33 of 1956) (hereafter referred to as the said Act) for the adjudication of the water disputes relating to the Inter-State River Mahadayi and the river valley thereof;
And whereas the said Tribunal is required to submit its report and decision under sub-section (2) of Section 5 of the said Act within a period of three years, i.e. on or before the 15th November, 2013;
And whereas, due to unavoidable reasons, the said Tribunal is unable to submit its report within the said period of three years and has requested the Central Government to extend the period of submission of its report and decision;
And whereas, under the proviso to sub-section (2) of Section 5 of the said Act, the Central Government has power to extend the period for a further period not exceeding two years;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by proviso to sub-section (2) of Section 5 of the said Act, the Central Government hereby extends the period of submission of report and decision by the Mahadayi Water Disputes Tribunal for a further period of one year with effect from the 16th November, 2013.
