का.आ. 3591(अ).—नागरिकता अध्निियम, 1955 की धारा 18 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए केन्द्रीय सरकार ने नागरिकता ;नागरिकों का पंजीकरण तथा राष्ट्रीय पहचान पत्रा जारी करनाद्ध, नियमावली, 2003 बनाया है जिसके नियम 4ए के अन्तर्गत उप-नियम ;3द्ध में यह कहा गया है कि नागरिकों के पंजीकरण के महारजिस्ट्रार गणना का अवध् ितथा समय-सीमा को सरकारी गजट में अध्सिूचित करेंगेऋ
केन्द्रीय सरकार ने नागरिकों का राष्ट्रीय रजिस्टर, 1951 को
असम राज्य के लिए अद्यतन करने का निर्णय लिया हैऋ
अतः, अब, नागरिकता ;नागरिकता का पंजीकरण तथा राष्ट्रीय पहचान पत्रा जारी करनाद्ध, नियमावली, 2003 के नियम 4ए के उप- नियम ;3द्ध के प्रावधनों के अनुसार नागरिकों के पंजीकरण के महारजिस्ट्रार एतद्द्वारा अध्सिूचित करते है कि, असम राज्य में गणना कार्य इस अध्सिूचना की प्रकाशन तिथि से प्रारम्भ कर तीन वर्ष की अवध् िके अन्तर्गत पूर्ण होगी ।

S.O. 3591(E).— Whereas, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 18 of the Citizenship Act, 1955, the Central Government has made the Citizenship (Registration of Citizens and Issue of National Identity Cards) Rules, 2003 which provides under sub-rule (3) of rule 4A that the Registrar General of Citizens Registration shall notify the period and duration of the enumeration in the Official Gazette;
And whereas, the Central Government has decided to update the National Register of Citizens, 1951 in the State of Assam;
Now, therefore, pursuant to the provisions of sub- rule (3) of rule 4A of the Citizenship (Registration of Citizens and Issue of National Identity Cards) Rules, 2003, the Registrar General of Citizens Registration hereby notifies that the enumeration in respect of the State of Assam shall take place from the date of publication of this notification and shall be completed within a period of three years.
