निध्न सूचना संख्या 3/4/2013-पब्लिक.—मंत्रिामंडल को श्री शीश राम ओला, केन्द्रीय मंत्राी की दिनांक 15 दिसम्बर, 2013 को पूर्वाह्‌न 3.30 बजे गुड़गांव, हरियाणा के एक अस्पताल में निध्न होने की सूचना मिली है जो बहुत ही दुःख का विषय है । 2. श्री शीश राम ओला का जन्म राजस्थान के झुुंझनू जिले के अरदावता गांव में दिनांक 30 जुलाई, 1927 को हुआ था । वह एक किसान और महान राजनीतिक एवं सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता थे जिन्होेंने अपना सम्पूर्ण जीवन जन समुदाय के उत्थान के लिए समर्पित कर दिया । 3. श्री शीश राम ओला पहली बार वर्ष 1957 में राजस्थान विधन सभा के लिए निर्वाचित हुए थे और कुल आठ बार राजस्थान विधन सभा के लिए निर्वाचित हुए । उन्होेंने दस वर्षों तक राजस्थान सरकार में कैबिनेट मंत्राी के रूप में अपनी विशिष्ट सेवा प्रदान की और पंचायती राज, ग्रामीण विकास, पर्यावरण एव्ां वन, लोक-स्वास्थ्य एवं इंजीनियरिंग, सिंचाई, परिवहन, सहकारिता, उत्पाद, भूमिगत जल एवं सैन्य कल्याण जैसे मंत्राालयों/विभागों में महत्वपूर्ण पोर्टपफोलियो वाले मंत्राी पदों को सँभाला । 4. श्री शीश राम ओला वर्ष 1996 में झुंझनू से लोक सभा के लिए निर्वाचित हुए तथा उसी लोक सभा क्षेत्रा से लगातार 12वीं, 13वीं, 14वीं, और 15वीं लोक सभा के लिए निर्वाचित हुए । उन्होंने केन्द्रीय मंत्राी परिषद में विशिष्ट सेवा प्रदान की और रसायन एवं उर्वरक मंत्राालय में राज्य मंत्राी ;स्वतंत्रा प्रभारद्ध;वर्ष 1996-97द्ध, जल संसाध्न मंत्राालय में राज्य मंत्राी ;स्वतंत्रा प्रभारद्ध, ;1997-98द्ध, श्रम एवं रोजगार मंत्राी ;मई, 2004 से नवम्बर, 2004द्ध, खान मंत्राी ;नवम्बर, 2004 से मई, 2009द्ध और 17 जून, 2013 से मृत्यु की तारीख तक श्रम एवं रोजगार मंत्राी के रूप में महत्वपूर्ण पोर्टपफोलियों को संभाला । 5. सामाजिक सेवा और जन-समुदाय की सेवा के क्षेत्रा में उनके अद्वितीय योगदान के मद्देनजर श्री शीश राम ओला को वर्ष 1968 में पद्‌्‌म श्री प्रदान किया गया । राजस्थान के ग्रामीण क्षेत्रााें में लड़कियों में शिक्षा को बढ़ावा देने के उनके प्रयासों के लिए उन्हें इन्दिरा गांध्ी बालिका निकेतन पुरस्कार से भी सम्मानित किया गया । 6. श्री शीश राम ओला अपने पीछे अपनी पत्नी श्रीमति शिव बाई ओला, दो पुत्रा ;श्री बिजेन्द्र ओला और सरजीत ओलाद्ध एवं एक पुत्राी ;श्रीमती चन्द्रकलाद्ध और साथ ही पोता-पोती/नाती-नतिनी और परपोता/परपोती/परनाती/परनतिनी को छोड़ गए हैं । 7. श्री शीश राम ओला केन्द्रीय मंत्रिामंडल के सम्मानित सदस्य थे । वह जमीनी स्तर के राजनेता थे और लोगों के प्रति उनकी संवेदनशीलता असाधाारण थी । उन्होंने प्रतिब(ता और सक्षम नेतृत्व के साथ कार्य करके सभी मंत्राालयों में अमिट छाप छोड़ी है । 8. श्री शीश राम ओला ने कार्य कुशलता, शालीनता और गरिमा के साथ अपने सार्वजनिक दायित्वों का निर्वहन किया । उनको राजनैतिक क्षेत्रा में बड़े ही सम्मान से देखा जाता था । उनकी मृत्यु से देश ने एक लोकप्रिय नेता खो दिया है । 9. मंत्रिामंडल, श्री शीश राम ओला की राष्ट्र के प्रति उनकी सेवाओं की सराहना करता है और उनके निध्न पर गहरा दुःख व्यक्त करता है तथा साथ ही उनके परिवार के सदस्यों के प्रति अपनी सांत्वना व्यक्त करता है ।
OBITUARY No. 3/4/2013–Public.—The Cabinet has learnt with profound sorrow about the passing away of Shri Sis Ram Ola, Union Cabinet Minister on 15th December, 2013 at 3.30 A.M. in a Hospital at Gurgaon, Haryana. 2. Shri Sis Ram Ola was born on 30th July, 1927 at village Ardawata, in the Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan. He was an agriculturist and a great political and social worker who devoted his entire life for upliftment of the masses. 3. Shri Sis Ram Ola was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Rajasthan for the first time in the year 1957 and was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Rajasthan for eight terms. He rendered distinguished service as a Cabinet Minister in the Government of Rajasthan for ten years and held important portfolios of the Ministries/ Departments of Panchayati Raj, Rural Development, Forest and Environment, Public Health Engineering, Irrigation, Transport, Co-operatives, Excise, Under-ground Water and Soldiers' Welfare Department. 4. Shri Sis Ram Ola was elected to the Lok Sabha in the year 1996 from Jhunjhunu and was continuously re-elected to the 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th Lok Sabha from the same Constituency. He rendered distinguished service in the Union Council of Ministers and held important portfolios as Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Chemicals and Fertilizers (1996-97), Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Water Resources (1997-1998), Minister of Labour and Employment (May, 2004 to November, 2004), Minister of Mines (November, 2004 to May 2009) and Minister of Labour and Employment from June 17, 2013 till the date of demise. 5. Keeping in view his unmatched contribution in the field of Social Service and service to the masses, Shri Sis Ram Ola was conferred the Padma Shri in 1968. He was also honoured with the Indira Gandhi Balika Niketan Award for his efforts to promote education amongst girls in the rural areas of Rajasthan. 6. Shri Sis Ram Ola is survived by his wife, Smt. Shiv Bai Ola, two sons (Shri Brijendra Ola and Shri Sarjit Ola) and one daughter (Smt. Chandrakala) along with his grand and great grand children. 7. Shri Ola was a valued Member of the Union Cabinet. He was a grassroots political leader with extraordinary sensitivity to the people. He left an indelible mark in the Ministries he worked in with his commitment and able leadership. 8. Shri Sis Ram Ola handled his public responsibilities with tact, politeness and grace. He was held in very high esteem across the political spectrum. In his death, the country has lost a popular leader. 9. The Cabinet places on record its appreciation of Shri Sis Ram Ola's services to the nation and deep sense of grief and loss at the passing away of Shri Sis Ram Ola and extends its sincere condolences to the members of his family.
